The University of Central Florida Percussion Studio is under the instruction of Prof. Jeffrey M. Moore, with graduate assistance from Clif Walker. We offer an extensive program which includes pop and chamber ensembles, mallet ensembles, two steel drum ensembles, lessons, latin forums, guest artists, percussion discussions, and drumline. We also take part in Percussive Arts Society, where the annual international convention, PASIC, will be held in Colombus, Ohio, October 27-30, 1999.

Right now is a time when things are rather toned down for the marching season, but not here! We are getting a head start for next season. We are looking to expand our line a little next year by having 8-9 snares, 5-6 tenors, 6 basses, and 8-9 cymbals. This past season we had 9 cymbals, 5 basses, 3 tenors, and 7 snares, so there is definetely room for you to come and try out!!! Besides, what do you have to lose? Just think of it this way, if you don't come to try out and stick your foot in the door, you pretty much have a 100% chance of not making it. So what's our point? Come and try out!!!

So then you say, "Dude, I don't want to show up without knowing anything." We say, "Yeah man (this is NOT gender specific), that's the way to be!" Since you want to know your stuff ahead of time, as well as get an "edge" on the rest of those who are just thinking about showing up without any preparation, then we will definetely give you that advantage! So click HERE for the audition music, as well as part of our percussion warm-up/exercise book!!! We will be getting the dates for the percussion and marching band camps soon, also including everything you need to survive through these camps, so check back with us frequently!!!
