Some basic information



The man behind Magic Affair is Mike Staab. His first project was Mysterious Art who were responsible for the great hits Das Omen and Carma (Omen II). In 1994 Magic Affair was born with singer Franca Morgana and rapper A.K. Swift. The first song Omen III reached number one in the German chart and top 10 in several other countries. Follow-ups Give Me All Your Love, In The Middle Of The Night and Fire also were quite successfull. End 1994 A.K.Swift was replaced by A.D.Morgan. But this new man was no success, so A.K. Swift came back in a few months. Then in Februari 1995 both Franca Morgana and A.K.Swift were fired. Franca and A.K. did a cover of the Chic-song Good Times as Blaxone, but after that Franca Morgana went solo under the name Voice (Hits: Dance With Me and Scandall from the Queen Dance Traxx album), A.K.Swift did a rap on Toni Cuttura's Party Boom single, after that he had hits with his own project A.K.S.W.I.F.T. (For example In The Game). Summer 1995 Magic Affair got two new faces: Anita Davis and Jannet de Lara. First song with these two singers was The Rhythm Makes You Wanna Dance, but this single did not very well in the charts. The follow-up was Energy Of Light, a great eurodance track. After that the single World Of Freedom was released. Jannett de Lara was fired September 1996, and again a new face came in Magic Affair: rapper Raz-Ma-Taz (ex E-rotic and Sex Appeal). With this new face the track Bohemian Rhapsody was released, although this song did not have any vocals. From the album Phenomenia the single Break These Chains was released, before Magic Affair changed from Dance Label C.D.L. (Emi) to Dutch Dance Label CNR, where the song Night Of The Raven was released September 1997.
