Some basic information
Masterboy are Enrico Zabler (2 July 1962, Germany), Tommy Schleh (10 December 1964, Switzerland) and Linda Rocco (Cleveland, America). Before Masterboy Linda was the voice on Dance 2 Trance with Power Of American Natives and a background singer for none less than Michael Jackson and Milli Vanilli. Former singer Beatriz "Trixi" Obrecht Delgado (21 June 1966, Germany) left the band after the 4th album Generation Of Love, to have a more privat life. She now is solo under the name La Tour. There is another man behind the group: producer Skywalker, a pseudo for Lukas Cordalis (son of Germany Schlager singer Costa Cordalis). He works together with Enrico and Tommy in the studio. Lukas also released a solo-single Magic Summernight in 1996 under the name JT featuring Luca. This song was produced by Masterboy beat production (JT means Joker Three and is a synonym for Enrico, Tommy and Lucas).
Enrico and Tommy met in 1989. In 1990, when their first single "Dance To The Beat" was released, no one could imagine that it was only the beginning of a story full of hits and success. The first singles were standard dance song. The big success came in 1993 with the singles Fall In Trance and Everybody Needs Somebody, when they changed their sound into the typical Masterboy Eurodance sound. After that the hitmachine couldn't stop anymore. Hits like I Got To Give It Up, Feel The Heat Of The Night and Is This The Love made Masterboy one of the major Eurodance acts of 1994. In 1995 the success continued with the 4th album Generation Of Love with the singles Generation Of Love and Anybody. 1996 was the year when Trixi left the band, but with the new singer Linda Rocco the hitmachine did not stop. Mister Feeling and Show Me Colours where big hits in 1996. They also had big success with the project Love Message and the song Love Message, a charity-project together with Scooter, U96, Mr.President and others, which reached the German Top 10. In the beginning of 1997 the single Just For You was released. This song was released to thank all their fans for supporting Masterboy for the last seven years. The new single from Masterboy is called La Ola Hand In Hand and is in the same Euro-Reggae style as Mister Feeling.
