Radiohead - The Bends

The Bends Cover Yet another surprise of the year. Sure, Pablo Honey was a fine album, but nothing to get all tingly about. Then Radiohead come seemingly out of nowhere and return with one of the most powerful and painful albums of the year. Blazing intensity and morose consolation is a rarity these days and The Bends takes the listener back and forth between the two realms with outstanding ease.
