What i like to do when i'm sober
Music is a major part of my life. I may not be able to carry a tune, but i still listen to music 24-7 |
I've loved Pink Floyd for ages, and now my new love, Radiohead, has a somewhat similar sound in a few of their songs. CCR kicks some tail, and i listen to them whenever i can. I just started listening to Guns N' Roses recently, and i totally dig their stuff. But of course my favorite group is Led Zepplin, undoubtably the greatest band ever to live.
The Simpsons is the best show ever created is The Simpsons. It's been around since i was wearing diapers (i didn't become toilet trained untill i was 7) and it's still just as funny and unpredictable. It really hits you on two levels, everyone can appreciate the show, no matter what their age or inteligence is. Another show that i watch as often as possible is the Drew Carey show. It's extremely funny, and very witty; definately worth checking out if you've never seen it before. The there's commedy central. The daily show is hysterical, so is Win Ben Stein's Money. Viva Variety is riot. And then there's South Park...Although it's just started, it has the potential to be the next Simpsons. All in all i'd have to say that T.V. saved my life, without it, i might try hard in school and end up going to some expensive college, only to be forced into a stressful job and dying at an early age of a heart attack. | If the man who invented Television is a god, then the creators of The Simpsons are his profits...
Science Fiction, the hobby of dorks...Guess i'm a gigantic dork then... |
Sci-fi is a terrific way to waste time and get smarter simultaneously. For all the reading i do though, i still can't spell for crap. David Brin's Uplift series is perhaps the best series of books that i've ever read. It gives some answers to some of the really really big questions. Questions so big that most people don't even think of answering them. Larry Niven is another favorite author of mine. He wrote a book with Jerry Pournel (my spellin's probably not right on that one, sorry) that was about Dante's hell. It was one of the coolest books i've ever read. His known space universe kicks some major rear end too.
