The countdown is go! Teenies all around the world are watching Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The place for spacecraft launches will witness a launch of a totally different kind: The Backstreet Boys' world tour.

The 'Black & Blue' tour with AJ, Howie, Kevin, Nick and Brian will not only send teenage girls around the globe into screaming fits. Sold out arenas and breathtaking stageshows have become the boygroup's trademark. But it's getting harder and harder for the guys to top their own performances. Their legendary Millennium tour in 2000 has been a huge success and fans are a little spoilt. Can they beat that? Kevin is very confident: "We feel like we have more options, production wise, when you have an end stage you can do more things because you have the wings where you can run of on the side ... When we had the stage in the round we had no backstage area. No place to hide or ... With an end stage you do more theatrical productions, we can change the whole set completely in, and make the whole stage look different from song to song which is something we want to do."

Even though not all tourdates of 'Black & Blue' have been arranged yet on thing is certain: The boys won't be home very often for the next couple of months. "God knows when we have time to get home..." Brian comments thoughtfully. Howie on the other hand has gotten used to the endless travels by now: "The bus is our home."

But there's another surprise for BSB fans all around the world these days: Just in time for the 'Black & Blue' tour launch the second single from the album has been released. 'The Call' will be on sale in musicstores from January 29th. A small douceur for all the fans whose hometown doesn't show up on the long, long Backstreet Boys' list of tourdates.
