NEW YORK, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Music fans will be able to catch the hottest band on the planet -- and help restore needed school music programs for students across America -- when VH1.com and VH1 Save The Music auctions off one pair of great seats to each performance on the 2001 Backstreet Boys Concert Tour.
VH1.com will present the VH1 Save The Music Backstreet Boys Auction beginning Thursday, January 18. Potential bidders can preview the tour dates and venues by visiting VH1.com, and seats will be up for bid online through VH1.com until the end of March. All VH1 proceeds from the auction will benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.
Winning bids will receive one pair of great seats to one of the Boys' 36 shows in cities like Atlanta, Chicago, LA, Minneapolis, Toronto, Denver, Phoenix, San Diego and many more on the 2001 Backstreet Boys Concert Tour, which takes the hot quintet across the US and Canada in January through March. The VH1 Save The Music Backstreet Boys Auction is the first in a series of VH1 Save The Music special actions to be held this year.
The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of education in America's public schools by restoring music programs in cities across America, and raising awareness about the importance of music participation for our nation's youth. Through partnerships with affiliates and advocates, as well as corporate and national sponsors, VH1 Save The Music conducts awareness campaigns, musical instrument drives, and fundraising events in conjunction with public schools to help restore instrumental music programs. Since VH1 Save The Music was created in 1997, more than $10 million worth of musical instruments has been donated to 530 public schools in 40 cities, improving the lives of more than 200,000 children. The Foundation's ten-year plan is to bring music participation to one million children in public schools.

the Diane Warren Foundation and ASCAP foundation as part of their Music In
