Nick names A Ray, Bonedaddy resulted from song
written, or various outings when playing music.
Started playing guitar at 5 or so sitting on dad's
lap and would strum while he held the chords. UPDATE April 3 ,
1999 Dennis E. Maddy (my dad, and papa to all his grandkids
passed away. I will always love him and think of how lucky I was to learn from him. Thanks Dad. A page for you will be HERE
Got a set of GRETCH drums in 6th grade, and learned
those by ear as well as all his other instruments.
Grew up in the USA, suburbs of Washington Dc,
Maryland.
Eventually, playing around Bowie, Maryland as a teen
then moving on to Virginia, Dallas, SanDiego after getting out of
the Air Force.
Likes the color blue in all it's forms.....as u can
tell........
After residing in the above places settling in N.
Carolina to begin his serious writings.
Happy to perform in the Hard Rock Cafe in Dallas
Texas in 1987, in a Solo Contest came in second place. Looking
back I should have brought more folks to cheer...(like that other
guy)
Finally, getting his hands on a HAMER californian
guitar, white with extended neck and Floyd Rose...No other guitar
will do....
