I think in my mortal mind, of the vastness of the bodies of water

covering the earth . . .

Our Creator once asked the faithful man Job:

"Where were you when I set a boundaries for the earth ...

and the many basins of waters"?

The earth , sky, and water is amazingly variegated in the hues of

greens and blues.

A Sailor's Song

Beyond Love

Your eyes found me beyond the painted gates

of late spring's blossomed kiss.

Soft breezes feathering whispers of silentknowing

from the sea, our waters

We walk in lavish gardens as day paints herparting sky

in hues of lavender and peach, graciously offering her sunset

as a loving farewell to her beloved, the night

In the half light of pastel shadows our hands entwine

as we listen to yellow roses singing

your music to my soul.

Cool ocean breezes beneath misty blue midnight

gently caress wispy threads of clouds

into tomorrow, into never freeing the stars

to fall to our eyes...

enchanted...we catch them...our secrettreasures

with smiles and tears.

We are always our souls in peace

wrapping as one freely

joyfully in flight as wings to wind

with reverence beyond love.

if we give in to it's tow and succumb to it's grasp.

But what ever we do if not done together

Never to surface, for there would be no reason to gasp for

air if it isn't the air you breath with me.

* The Depth *

On coral reefs we kiss and play

Weightless we float and move through this deep

silent world.

Joining hands we move with ease exploring this beauty.

Glancing at each other , amazed at what we have found.

We are in the deepest of the waters now.

We are surrounded by unfamiliar life.

We must surface for our world's air to fill us and return to this

still mysteriously silent place, filled withgrand beauty.

Together we enter the world of the sea once more.

Overtaken by our surroundings, we pull close now

Taking to each others arms.

Sharing a kiss in the deep darkness of the waters

Privately indulging and being absorbed totally.

Schools of small fishes are at our feet and itis a delight to feel them

So alive, so free...

I reach for your hair and mine is floating past me

you untangle a piece of sea weed from it and as

you do a small fish places itself in the palmof my hand

Have you ever been touched by a fish or kissed in its presence?

Great swarms of small tropical creatures of all colors were as

if summoned to our wedding of the depths and our love

They encircled us as we silently moved and slowly lingered.

A performance to them and a witness for us

How deep is our love?

How deep is deep?

How deep is the ocean?

Does the sky have an ending?

Can our love be set forth in measurements?
