Theory X The band Theory X started as a local Columbus band named Urinal Cake in 1998. The original members of Urinal Cake included Kyle Beach (05/26/83), guitar and vocals, Richard O'Hara, bass, and Gene Woolfolk, drums. After playing exactly one show, Richard was booted because of personality disagreements (and an arguement over costumes). He was soon replaced by Chris Roberts (09/02/82). After adding a new bassist, a week later, Urinal Cake played "Breakout Fest 99" with the Keylows and the (infamous) Unpersons followed by a home show at one of the neighbors houses. Just days after that, Urinal Cake recorded Ignorance Gave Me the Evil Eye, their debut album at Area 51 with Larry Rhodes as engineer. Sometime around December, Urinal Cake underwent some changes. They changed their name to the more known title "Theory X" and added a short-lived second guitarist, Jarrod Turner. After a show intitled "The Blair Witch Show" (held the same night as the GWAR show in Atlanta), Jarrod got canned because of a rhythmic handicapp (to say the least). About the time of February 2000, Gene decided to persue a career in another band with Chris Taylor from Close to Home. Currently looking for a drummer, that's where we are now.... |
