"Larry-Boy Mania is sweeping the nation. If you're not on board, you're gonna miss the train."

2/18/99: The form for the contest has changed a bit. You no longer need to open up your e-mail program to send in your guess. Everything is done right from the page! Also, a picture by 12 year-old Nijiko Decker has been added to the fan fic and art page.

1/30/99: A few minor changes have been made, but the major changes includes a contest and a new graphical link!

1/22/99: The new logo has been added. Many changes will be happening on these pages within the next few weeks.

1/7/99: I need some help. Somehow, my account was deleted. Because it was, all pages were lost. I was able to save all of the pages, but the downloads are a different story. If you have any of the downloads that are marked (it should be obvious), please send them to [email protected] right away.

12/28/98: A new picture has been added to the Fan Fic and Art page.

12/19/98: A new link was added today! This is a link to a Larry-Boy game called "Catch Fib!" Although this is not an official game, it is definately the best VeggieTales Internet game that I've seen outside of the Big Idea games! No cheap java seen here. The look is very clean -- no lines surrounding the cutout fibs and none of that gray space seen in a lot of non-official java games. The game does require the latest browser. It also keeps track of the high scorers so that you can see how you have done in comparison to others!

12/17/98: Visit WeirdAl.com today and see Fan Art #57 in the gallery!!!

12/7/98: Yes, it has been a while since an update, but I finally got some updates done. First, the first Larry-Boy fan pic was sent to me the other day. It is available to see in the club pages. Second, I got the Never-Ending Larry-Boy Story up to date, minus a couple additions that didn't make it because of they were out of place or some other reason. Third, the password has changed!!!

11/12/98: Veggieopoly for DOS has been released!!! Download it now in the downloads section!!!

11/11/98: The links page and the Webrings page is now linked on the club page. A new club graphic is also on the club page. Note: The links in the webrings and the links pages should take the top frame out when you click on the hyperlinks. If any of them don't, please contact me ASAP.

A FAQ page has been added as well.

11/10/98: Much work has been done on the club page, including the move of this news page so that it will automatically load when somebody goes to the club page, which also has frames now! I did this to cut down on all of the re-entering of the password that some may have done in the past. Much of what was on the main page of the club page has been moved to a "Members Extras" page. In case you didn't know, a chat has also been added to the club page. Links section will soon be part of the club page as well as the non-club page.

11/2/98: A new link has been added.

11/1/98: The new logo is now up on the main page. The java cube is temporarily down.

I did forget to tell you something about something we learned yisterdie. There will be a new Larry-Boy game coming to BigIdea.com and from what I've heard about it, it will be pretty good.

10/31/98: I went to the Saturday chat at the Ultimate VeggieTales Web Club and got some interesting new info (all were given publicly in the chat). First, "Larry-Boy and the Fib from Outer Space" will be released to the general market this February with all new packaging. Darren said that the new packaging looks better than ever. I also got a few details on "Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed." Production has not begun yet since Big Idea has just finished "A Silly Sing-Along 2: The End of Siliness?" and are now working on the PaxTV special. Production probably will not begin until December. The Rumor Weed may be a female character with big lips and glasses. No other info about the video is known at the moment.

Big Idea is also in the script writing/brainstorm process for a possible theatrical release. Nothing is known about this project either.

10/29/98: Today, we have hit 1,000!!! Yellow asterisks for everyone!!!

***************************************************************

The heading for this news page has also changed. It is now a .jpg instead of a font face since not everybody will have the Old English font. The "T" in "The" was also turning out strangely. I made the .jpg in a font called "Poor Richard," which is very much like the font face commonly used in the 18th century and by Ben Franklin, who was a pea.

10/23/98: A lot has happened today. First, one of my other pages, The Ohio List, turned one-year old today (which, coincidently, fell on Al's birthday). Today also marks the day that the Officially Unofficial Larry-Boy Club has hit the net. To for information on joining the club, go the the club joining info page. Some sections, such as the downloads and fan fic and art, have moved to the club page. The news, webring, and links page has moved to the club page. A new message board has been added to the club page and as soon as more members join there will be a new link page with member pages. The member graphic has also changed (which is why the description of it for 10/20 is now inaccurate).

The web page of the month will come soon. Send nominations to [email protected].

The news page has changed names. Ever since the news page moved to here, the title bar has said, "The Bumblyburg Babbler." I decided that this was a better title for this page than what I had originally put. The first one to e-mail me with the answer to what it was originally called gets a gold star sent to them in the e-mail!!! When a winner comes, I will announce that there has been a winner on this page.

10/20/98: Well, It's been almost a month now since the last update. I've started college, started working on some other things, and there has really been no kind of new Larry-Boy news recently. One thing I would like to add, however, is that there is a VeggieTales newsgroup created by me at Deja News. The newsgroup is called dejanews.members.arts.jawahutt.veggietales and,as far as I know, is only available to those of you that have an account with Deja News, so if you don't have an account yet, you should do that ASAP.

I will stop the poll at the 143 responses that I have received. The results were that about 63% of the visitors that voted wanted to see a fanclub, so that is what I'm going to work on next. I've already created a graphic for the web pages of members to proudly display (shown below for the first time to the general public), but you will not need to have a web page to be a part of the club. The graphic isn't really fancy. Just a monochrome THX parody, but I think it's pretty cool. Hopefully, I'll have a members-only page, possibly secret, maybe password. I'm also going to make an announcement list at Onelist that will be part of the club.

The Larry-Boy Club

When my computer got sick a while back, I lost the program that I was making my good pics with. Well, that program is still on backorder. New graphical links will be made when I can get that program back or get another like it.

For a while, Fortune City was leaving the advertisements off the top of the page, but now they're back.

"A Silly Sing-Along 2: The End of Silliness?" will be released very soon, and if you live in the Central Ohio area, check out the premier of this video plus "The Toy that Saved Christmas" for $2 at the Sawmill AMC Theater in Dublin.

9/26/98: A new link has been added to the link page.

9/15/98: The first Larry-Boy Fan Fic is now up! Look for it in the fan section of these pages. I've also finally been able to get the "Weird Al" Veggievic picture shrunken to a smaller size, thanks to the help of my friend, John T. I'm also going to start putting dates on these news additions so that it'll be easier to tell the old news from the new. I also put a new link on the Larry-Links page. I added "The Not Very Ultimate VeggieTales Page" to the links because of the haiku about Larry-Boy. Remember to keep sending in that Fan Stuff!!!

On Monday, September 14th, three things were added to this page. First I moved the news section to a seperate page. Next, I created a picture to serve as a link to this page. I will have the info for this on the main page. If you would like to link to this page, use the graphic and HTML code that I have provided. Webmasters will not need to download the graphic, therefore having room for other stuff. The code will also eliminate the border blue border and provide an "Alternate" name for it. Let me know if you use this graphic on your page! If you want to change the HTML code in any way, let me know about how you are going to do it first and if I like it, you'll get my approval. I may even decide to use your code instead. Lastly, I added a link to the Fan-Fic and Art page. Send that Larry-Boy stuff in!!!

I have just been informed that Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed will not be the next VeggieTales video. The controversy over Archibald's decision to cancel Silly Songs with Larry until further notice has forced the release dates for Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed to switch places with "A Silly Sing-Along 1: The End of Silliness?" The new video will have a release date of November 4 while the new Larry-Boy video will have a release date of Spring, 1999. But fear not, Larry-Fans! The next video has a big possibility of having Larry-Boy's music video on it. Note: This has not been confirmed yet. If anybody has any more details, let me know ASAP.

I've added a java applet to the top of the page featuring some screen shots from "Larry-Boy and the Fib from Outer Space." You should have your java on to be able to view this 3-D cube. There's also some neat tricks that you may want to try. Move your mouse around the area of the cube to make it change directions. It'll always turn in the direction of your mouse! Double click on any of the six sides of the cube. Each one will take you to a different page on the web! Hold your left mouse button on any side to see that pic close up! Hold your right mouse button to zoom back to the spinning cube! Note: It may take a while to load, depending on the speed of your computer and the browser. It should take less time to load the second time. The reason for the wait is because it's trying to load all of the pictures first. You may see just a big, black area for a while.

The Come.to, Add-me, Hot Site Starting Point voting, and the Web Side Story World's 100 have been moved to the first page to the main page. Scroll down to see where they are now!!! (And click the Starting Point Icon to vote!!!)

There have been many votes to for the future of this page. So far, most want to see a Web Page of the Month and some sort of club. This is followed by "Info on Larry-Gadgets" with a lot less votes. The only thing that hasn't received any votes is surprisingly "Things you can find on other pages." If you have any ideas for what the club will do, please contact me. Would you rather have a "put a graphic on your web page" club or would you rather have a club that will do something with everybody? Maybe a secret members-only page? Maybe meetings every week in #veggietales on GammaNet? It'll be up to you, the viewers, to help decide what the future holds!!!

Looking for more than one way to reach the creator of this web page? Wish you could communicate to him through ICQ, even if you don't have ICQ? Now anybody can communicate to him through ICQ!!! Go to http://wwp.mirabilis.com/10678045 and find out how! Be sure to tell him that you saw how to do it here!!! Note: The Web Indicator that shows if I'm currently on ICQ should be working, but sometimes for some unknown reason it shows that the indicator is disabled.

A link has been deleted from the links page. "A Tribute to the World's Greatest Super Hero" is no longer in existence. This is now the only source for nothing but Larry-Boy on the web. It's lonely being the only one, but if your VeggieTales page has an excellent Larry-Boy section, I'd be happy to add it to the list of links!!!

VeggieTunes 2 has been released!!! The CD and Cassette feature Larry-Boy on the cover, singing into the microphone. Songs from "Larry-Boy and the Fib from Outer Space" are included on it. Junior's song about how the plate was broken is included as well as a new version of the Larry-Boy theme song. Unlike the version that was included on the Release Magazine CD and Cassette many months ago, the version included on VeggieTunes 2 has no sound clips from the "Larry-Boy and the Fib from Outer Space." You will still get to hear the hero say, "I am that hero!" and, "Dynamite!"

The new cursors and icons have been added in two zip files on the downloads page. The cursor pack includes two plungers (a normal select and a help select), a wait cursor featuring the Larry-Signal, a whatever-you'd-like-to-use-it-for cursor with Larry-Boy and Bob, a normal select with full-bodied Larry-Boy, a tilted Larry-Boy head to use as normal selcet, and a normal select Alfred. All cursors are in .cur form. The cursors that were there before have been removed since they are available on another page. I have included a direct link to the page so that those of you who do not know where to get them can do so. It also adds more originality to this page. The cursor pack includes three new Larry-Boy icons. These icons include the "Larry-Boy and the Fib from Outer Space" video, Larry-Boy and Bob, and a Tic-Tac-Toe Larry-Boy inspired by the Larry-Boy's Tic-Tac-Toe at Big Idea's Web Page. Note: As of writing this, this is the only place where the Downloads on this page are available at except for the downloads that are noted. Another Note: As new cursors and icons or other downloads similar in purpose are added to the downloads section, they will be inserted into a new zip file so that downloaders will not have to download the same files every time a new item is added.

Artwork can be of Larry-Boy or related characters or even new characters to go with your fan fic or even nothing at all!!! There's very little restriction here. I prefer that you send the pictures in .gif or .jpg format. They can be of any medium (computer generated or scanned drawing, model, or whatever). Fan fiction can be sent in almost any format, but preferably in .doc, .txt, .htm, or .html. You also have the option of sending it in the e-mail and not attatched. If you have art that you want included in the story, you should put it in an .html or .htm file and put the pictures where you would like them in the story. The text colour doesn't matter, but try to put it on a black background so that it matches the other pages. After setting the .htm or .html file the way you want it, put the pictures and the file with the story in a .zip file. A good file zipper can be obtained at http://www.winzip.com. If you want to know what font settings I use for most of this page, I'll tell you. I use Bold fonts, green, purple, or yellow colours, and Comic Sans MS. For this news section, I use Times New Roman. The line telling you when this page was last updated uses Burton's Nightmare. If you are unfamiliar with HTML, just send the story to me and tell me about where you would like the pictures placed and I'll do it for you. The first story featured on this page will be in a script format, but any format will do just fine. You can put it in the traditional paragraph format or even write a ballad. Any way your mind goes, really doesn't matter to me, to me. Note: Pictures may be edited slightly to reduce its size. Since I have 20 MB of Space to work with, I doubt that I will need to do that for a while.

There is an extreme shortage in screen shots from "Larry-Boy and the Fib from Outer Space." If you are one of the few people that has some screen shots, please share them with this page. It seems like a major rule for Larry-Boy pages is that the page needs to be mostly text only. If you have the equipment to do this kind of thing, please help those of us that are unable to transfer screen shots to the computer.

There are a couple of mailing lists that I would like to share with you now. One is owned by [email protected] and the main topic of the list is VeggieTales. Larry-Boy is discussed frequently there. The other is a list that I own. The topic there isn't VeggieTales, but they are occasionally discussed. The actual topic there is Weird Christian Music. This includes any strange Christian Music, and since Silly Songs with Larry and Love Songs with Mr. Lunt are silly, they are allowed to be discussed. Note: You will get mail. You may not get mail every day because of slowness of discussions, but you may get a lot of e-mails at any moment. If you prefer not to recieve e-mail, do not sign up for either of these.
