David Shaul - Director
David Shaul, a longtime Tucson, Arizona resident, has a Ph.D. studying linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley. As author and researcher he is thoroughly familiar with Native American and Mexican Early Music . He is also an accomplished harpist, composer, and arranger. Dr. Shaul has performed throughout the Southwest as a harpist playing classical and Celtic music. Presently, he is Librarian and Archivist for the Tohono O'odham Nation in southern Arizona and is noted for his work with Native American languages. Dr. Shaul enjoys hiking, travelling, and reading.
Thomas F. Hassett - Tenor
Thomas F. Hassett, a longtime Tucson, Arizona resident, has a Ph.D. in systems engineering from the University of Arizona. His solo and choral efforts include singing classical and modern works with the Sons of Orpheus Male Choir of Tucson and Tucson Masterworks Chorale. Dr. Hassett presently consults for xG-ISOFT on the delivery of courseware (e-learning) material at various educational levels. Dr. Hassett enjoys running and playing softball and basketball.
Monica Gonzalez - Soprano
Monica Gonzalez is a local Tucsonan with a choral and instrumental background in music. Ms. Gonzalez has sung in an ensemble environment and in several large choirs in and around Tucson. Her repertoire includes classical and modern works. In addition, she has played the bass violin for various organizations such as the Tucson Masterworks Chorale in and around Southern Arizona. Ms. Gonzalez presently works for the Prime School, a community based music instructional school for children and young adults. Ms. Gonzalez enjoys volunteer work with children, young adults, and adults.
Paul Amiel Stewart - Baritone/Recorder/Harpist
Paul Amiel Stewart- Baritone/Harpist/Flutes
Paul Amiel Stewart is a local musician and singer involved in a variety of musical endeavors. He is Camerata's baritone singer playing a variety of instruments, including harp, flute, recorder, and dulcimer. Mr. Stewart currently directs the Summer Thunder Chinese Music Ensemble (playing the qin), the Middle Eastern group Seyyah (playing ney and baglama), and is the keyboardist for the art-rock band Ecce Hobo.
