This is a place where I will put up people's encounters with Hanson. If you have been to a concert or have actually met them and talked to them please email me at the bottom of the page and tell me
all about it. I will post it on my page as soon as I can. Thanks!

My Own Concert Experience
My day started with my little sister running into my room at 5:45am and saying "We're going to a Hanson concert!" I got out of bed and realized that we were going to see Hanson at Hershey Park that evening. I was very excited but realized that I had to go to my sisters soccer tournament first. I got dressed and we went to her tournament. After sitting throught the tournament all morning we finally headed for my grandparents house to pick up my Cioci (means aunt in polish) Donna. At about 4:00pm we left and were on our way to the concert. On our way there we were listening to Hanson all the way down. Once we were about a half an hour from Hershey we stopped at a McDonalds to go to the bathroom and met two girls that were going to the same concert! We finally got their around 6:30 and looked for a line to wait in. We actually got into the stadium pretty fast because a secruity guard came and told us that their were very short lines over on the other side so we ran over to them and got in. We found our seats all the way in the back bleechers and sat down. From time to time the crowed would start screaming. I'm sure it was because Ike, Tay, or Zac would stick their head out of the window or something like that but I couldn't see anything from where I was sitting. At 8:00pm Admiral Twin came on and I personally thought they were great! I loved thier songs so clapping and standing up while they were on. After they got off eveyone wanted to see Hanson and were chanting to get them on stage. We waited about 25 minutes after Admiral Twin until finally Hanson came on stage. The crowd erupted into loud screams (surprise, surprise) from everywhere int he stadium. They started it off with "Gimme Some Lovin." They played a couple of other songs such as "Thinking Of You", "Where's The Love", and "River before the changed the set to do songs from 3 Car Garage. All the songs they sang sounded perfect. Everyone in the audience had to be standing up and clapping along and singing along with Ike, Tay and Zac. I loved the way Taylor and Zac squirted the crowd with water guns and kicked beach balls into the audience. Of course I was to far back to get squirted or touch a beach ball but it was very cool. At one point in the show Ike sang "More Than Anything" solo and I thought I was going to cry. His voice was absolutely amazing. I never thought that he could sound THAT good. Then they all dedicated "A Minute Without You" to the people in the bleechers and everyone in them went absolutely wild (myself included). I loved the oldies that they played. Songs such as "Summertime Blues", Money (that's what I want)", and a song called "Sunshine Love" which they played for the first time on the Albertane Tour. They were great. My personal thought of the best song they played all night would have had to be MMMbop. They really got the crowed going with it and every part of the song sonded perfect. The show ended with their encour of "Look At You" and "Summertime Blues" and a short a capella version of "Weird". Fans were screaming and crying and laughing and jumping. I think that the show was definately for all ages. My Cioci and Dad enjoyed it and a lot of the parents were up dancing and singing along with their kids. That night was so amazing. On the way home in the car I couldn't seem to get it through my head that I had finally seen Hanson in concert. It all seemed like a wonderful dream that I just didn't want to wake up from. Everything was perfect and I know that I'll remember that evening (August 15,1998) for the rest of my life.

On August 16 me and my sisters my dad and my brother who brought 2 friends Matt and John all went to Canada's Wonderland in Toronto. We arived at 9:30am (or somwhere around there) I hung aound with my brother and his freinds till 7:00pm where I was to meet my dad and my sisters and we would all go to the Kingswood theater where Hanson would perform their mini concert. The moment I set eye on the crowd in the kingswood theater I regreted going on all those rides! There were milions of people there and the only seats we could see was a big peice of seats right in the back. We didn't want to give up that easily so we walked around the whole place and tried to find a better seat, but it was useless, the whole theater was full except those seats at the back, so we went and the four of us sat down. (my brother and his friends stayed riding on the roller costers and stuff, they hate Hanson) I had all the Hanson songs in my head so I sang the whole album the whole 7-9 hours that we sat and waited. And then when I was done all of Middle of Nowhere the crowd started to chant Hanson so I screamed along Hanson with them. For about half an hour, YTV did a little entertaining, with a game show called Uh Oh and a dance and stuff. Two people dressed as Sailor moon and Spider man came out and the YTV host asked them if they had been dating, and then Salior moon said "Well, I'm kinda in love with Hanson" and at that moment we all went balistic even though it was kinda corny, whenever someone mentioned Hanson or anything that had to do with Hanson we went bazerc. Then 7:00 finally came and Hanson came out and did a Q. and A. period. but that was only for about 5 minutes and they went back behind stage and we waited for another hour. And then when 8:00 came, it was show time!! Hanson popped out and you can just imagine how the crowd went!! I was jumnping up and down screaming at the top of my lungs! Keeping a close eye on Hanson which I was see quite well to my releif. Hanson sang Madeline first, with Tay on the tamberine, Ike on the acustic guitar, and Zac on his little clapy things and his walkie talkie thing (that he uses in Man from MIlwaukee) after Madeline they sang Man from Milwaukee with the same instruments, and after that, Zac shouted to the crowd "now we're gonna do some electric stuff!" and the crowd went wilder then they had already been. So they bobbed behind their instruments and sang Minute without you, Where's the love, thinking of you, and then Taylor (sigh) said 'Now we're gonna sing one that you guys should all know" we knew which he ment and screamed so loud that I bet the whole park could hear us! So we clapped as Zac told us to and sang MMMBop along with them, and then they stopped and listened to us sing and Zac said "This is cool! You guys know it!" and then they started to sing along with us again. And after MMMBop they told us that they had to go and thats when I started to cry. The marker that spelled Taylor and Hanson on my cheeks started to smudg as the tears came down. I screamed HARD as Hanson walked off stage and we all screamed still. As everyone started to file out of their rows many girls crying including me, Hanson came out again stopping us dead in our tracks and they sang MMMBop again but acaplea! When they were dont that though they left and were gone for good. My side was hurting from the jumping (I had never jumped so high in my life) and my eyes were stinging, and I cried till we got home (which was about two hours away) and my thoat hurt for so long after the concert, but I had gone through all of it for Hanson, and I did not mind on bit, I'd do all that waiting, screaming, crying, and pains all over again anytime for Hanson and I'd be proud of it! I LOVE HANSON!!!!!!!!

HANSON IN MONTREAL PART 1: Both december 5th and 6th 1997 were unforgetable days, it was the first time i ever saw hanson live. that friday, (the 5th) i had school off. for the last several weeks, the radio and t.v couldn't stop announcing the arrival of hanson in montreal. they weren't here to do a concert but a promotional appearance. anyways, my friends and i went shopping downtown and decided to check out musiqueplus (where hanson was supposed to do an hour long interview) when we got there at 2:30pm the place was already packed. nobody was actually in the studio yet but waiting around outside. the only ones allowed inside were contest winners. me and my friends met someone we knew from school who was able to let us stand right in front of the window, where she was. it was perfect because we were standing right on the side, of where they were performing. at 3:00pm hanson came out to do a sound check. i couldn't believe my eyes. right in front of me was standing ISAAC, TAYLOR AND ZAC HANSON :-). it was so awesome!!!! while taylor and ike were helping with the sound check, zac kept jumping around the large windows. several times they all came to the window to say hi to all the waiting fans outside. finally the hours passed and it grew dark before the interview started. more people who had been waiting outside got to in, including the girl who had let us pass the barriers to let us near the windows. i was happy where i was because i could see hanson perform 2 feet away from me ( i was on the other side of the window though) The screaming and excitement of the crowd was uncontrolable when the hosts presented hanson. they ran down the stairs and took their seats beside one of the hosts. Zac was wearing those famous yellow pants and a black shirt, taylor some jeans and a white shirt with a brown shirt on top and ike some brown pants with a shirt. they looked awesome. The host asked them the usual questions, how did they like montreal? when had they arrived? what had they visited? etc. Taylor said that we were extremely loud for the size crowd we were. at certain points, the other host went to the audience for questions. one question stirred up some screaming. the girl asked what was zac's favourite animal? zac, unable to answer quickly, got interrupted by taylor. "girls!!!" was his answer. he then cleared up the misconception by saying "i couldn't think of an animal, so i thought of something better" and ike added,"yeah, something really hot" :-) afterwards they played the "where's the love" and "i will come to you" videos, while the guys danced around. They sang; man from milwakee and madeleine. several parts during the song: taylor and zac turned around towards the windows and said hi to all the fans outside, including me. because i was right in front of the window, i got to knock on the window and he knocked right back. he kept turning around and smiling.:-) then they continued their interview. we had them taste what we call "poutine" and we asked them if they liked hockey. they said if we did, then they did also (ahhh, oh sweet) and we gave them some Canadians jerseys. it was so hilarious because they started pretending to model them and were making all kinds of faces. the host asked them if they knew any french and they said "well some like a bonjour and comment ca va?" the host asked them to say "musique plus, je vous aime" and they did it very well. then they told us to say "we love you" and of course we all said it because most of us know how to talk english. although we meant it to them, they acted very modest and said that we loved musiqueplus. anyways after that they sang mmmbop as a final song and thanked us very much for coming and said that we were awesome. after they left, crowds of people were all headed in the same direction, the side of the building were they would leave from. finally a van came from the garage but there was no one sitting in the back seats. obviously they had ducked so people wouldn't go crazy. a large bus folowed that van and they disappeared. some people waited for another car to come out, hoping to catch a glimpse of the hansons but no other car came out. it had been them in the van, so everybody left. my friends decided to return downtown tomorrow to see hanson perform at HMV. the next day was a whole other adventure awaiting!!

HANSON AT HMV IN MONTREAL Part 2: The next morning i woke up at 4:30am to get ready and go downtown. We wanted to get there early so that we had a good chance of meeting them. When we arrived, there was already a line which wasn't too long. While me and my friend stayed in line, my other two friends went to buy breakfast at a nearby Second Cup. Their appearance was schedualed to be at 12:30pm. For a while, the line wasn't getting dramatically long, until about 9:00a m when suddenly people started coming out of nowhere. Then a truck pulled up and workers started taking the instruments out and placing them on the mini stage in HMV. People started getting excited and pushing to get closer to the front, to get in. Then an employee of HMV came out and told us to start a line on the other side of the store. Me and my friends got seperated because so many people tried to get closer to the door. Everyone was pushing and squishing against each other. The employees and some parents who were there for their children, tried to organize but no one listened. We were chanting " HANSON, HANSON" and singing their songs. Some people who had posters with them, waved them in the air and the screaming got louder. The man in the front said if we didn't co-operate and push back, then the show would be cancelled. But no matter how many times he said that, people kept pushing forward. Whenever someone would step back as the guy had told us to do, someone else would take their place and move forward. Everyone was getting tired of waiting around outside when we could have gone inside, including me. I was so tired, i didn't know what i was telling people. I was very so mad. Finally at 10:30am, they started letting us in, one at a time. I, luckily got let in at the beginning and made my way down the stairs. Although i was near the stage, i wasn't able to see much. We were very frustrated because we were there before most of the people in front of us. More and more people starting coming down those stairs and the little space that was left, had quickly filled up. They let people stay on the stairs, then all around the banister at the top of the stairs. During this time, me and my friends started sqeezing ourselves to the front near the stage. We finally made our way to the front, right behind the barriers held up by the bodyguards. We talked to the bodyguard in front of us and he was very nice but the other security guards kept insisting that everyone move back to allow more space in the front. We couldn't understand why they kept telling us to move back. They said it was for safety purposes but i didn't understand how that could be, if people were getting claustorphobic. Many people had already started fainting even before the show started because they couldn't breath and so, some ambulances showed up. Then again, everybody started chanting; HANSON, HANSON!!! They must have been late because the employee was trying to pass the time by talking to us and having a little contest to see who can scream the loudest. He divided us into three sections and my section won. Also, there was a tv program there called "Flash" who interviewed some Hanson fans. The guy asked us who we liked the best and he asked the girl right next to me, a question and they put it on tv, so there i am again, on tv. Another man walked around in front of the audience with a small camera in his hands amd sai d to wave because this was for Hanson. ( no, it was not Walker Hanson but someone taping it for them.) Finally the time had arrived for Hanson to come out, so the host announced, " here's Isaac, Taylor and Zac.........HANSON!!!" The door to the side of the stage opened and someone peered out, ( probably to see how many people there were ) and then out they ran. The audience went crazy and even though i tried to move, i couldn't because i was so squished. I was able t o jump up and dow n a bit but everyone behind me was taking pictures. I thought, i'd rather Hanson see my face then some flash in their e yes so i neglected to bring along my cam era. ( Even though i regret it now! ) At first they talked to the host but i don't really remember what they said, something about it being cool so many people showed up for one show and that it was "awesome." Taylor asked everyone how they were doing and then the host asked Zac how it felt seeing so many people squished. Zac said " i don't know how they can stay squished like sardines." :-) They sang " man from milwalkee", " madaleine " and " mmmbop " once again. During these songs, i didn't go crazy because i knew they would appreciate us singing along and getting into the music, rather then just screaming. I stayed there all calm and listened to them while everyone else went balistic. I actually made eyecontact with them, though mostly Taylor. Whenever that happened, i just smiled and he smiled back and so he continued singing. Did you guys ever notice how good they look when they sing and smile at the same time??? I was lucky because i was right in the front center of the audience, so i got the best view. Some people were throwing stuffed animals at them and Zac went to pick them all up. After about an hour, the show was over and they left. As everyone was leaving, they gave away some Hanson pictures which were signed and everyone got at least one. Actually, i have several. I noticed many girls crying although i didn't. While we were outside, some people who had gone to that same show said they saw Hanson getting into their van and waving at all the people who saw them. Afterwards, me and my friends decided to go to Burger King. We were sitting at the table when we recognized Hanson's bodyguards eating there also. All of us were too embaresed to go talk to them, even though they recognized us from the show. As we were leaving, my friend's sister and her friend saw one of Hanson's bodyguards on the phone in the little hallway. While we walked out, her and her friend pretended to tie their shoes so that they could listen in on the conversation. Although it seemed noisy, it payed off cause after the guy got off the phone, he told my friend's sister and her friend that he just got off the phone with Hanson's manager. He said that they were just leaving very soon because they had to go do another appearance somewhere else. He told them that they were very nice boys who were very down to earth and funny. And they'd be back soon. My friend's sister and her friend came running out of the burger king, screaming in the middle of downtown. They almost got run over by a car cause they wanted to tell us what just happened. We decided to leave and just go home, so on the way into the subway, we ran into, once again, Hanson's bodyguards. They were very nice and held the door open for us. One of my friends asked them if they were Hanson's bodyguard, and although they didn't want to get us excited, they reluctantly said yes. They mentionned they would be talking to Hanson so we asked them to tell them we love them and to come back soon. They agreed and then we left. Unfortunatly, that was the end of our Hanson experience and that was all we talked about on the way home. We had just met Hanson two days in a row and we were very happy to have had that opportunity. If you were there on any of those days and experinced that same opportunity or if you have had a Hanson encounter and want to tell me, i'd be happy to hear it, e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks.

Ok, well the concert started at aroind 7:30pm but of course there was the opening band, and friends of the guys, Admiral Twin. They were really good but everyone was so excited to see Hanson that it was hard to pay attention. Once they had finished people started setting up the stage for Hanson and they came on at 8:30. Just before they came on Walker came onstage to film us all screaming and he seemed to be enjoying himself! Well you'd think that I would remember the exact order of everything but I don't so the songs are not in exact order but close enough. Hanson came on. Tay was wearing jeans and a lime green shirt but he took it off right away and was wearing a white t-shirt. Zac was wearing a white t-shirt also and black pants and Ike was wearing a brown shirt and to tell you the truth I can't remember what pants. Note: Tay took over the drums in the middle of one of the songs so Zac could go throw stuff into the crowd but (GASP!) I can't remember what song.:0( Gimme some lovin Well they opened with this song and although I know it sounded good that's about all I can tell you because the crowd was SO loud it was hard to hear. Oh by the way the setting was these "knife" light things with the Albertane Tour sign hanging in the air and the Hanson symbol on the ground. Where's the Love They did the long version of this song and it sounded really good. But on the second verse they dropped it quite a bit lower and I'm not sure if it was a mistake or not. Weird Well, as soon as I heard Tay's piano intro I knew I would love this song but I was so excited I can't remember everything. Zac's voice is sounding even lower and that was the first song that you could hear it on.Everyone was freaking out and had there lighters out and were swaying and that stuff, it was really cool. River This song sounded really cool, although I'm sure I'll say that for every song they sang. They sang the new added part and it sounded alot like on the video. The crowd went wild when Ike did his guitar solo and he stepped forward closer to the crowd. Thinking of you This was the last song they sang before they changed the set. It sounded alot like their performance on Letterman and Zac did that thing again where he swallowed his words in his solo part but they still sounded great. Hanson left the stage and they now changed the set. They lowered the Albertane Tour sign and brought a smaller drum set, a different keyboard a chair and a garage backdrop. Most of these songs were acoustic. (this is where I begin to loose precise order) Stories This song was really cool to hear since they sound so different now then on three car garage. But sounded the same with the same soul and cuteness! Solider I was surprised they sang this song for some reason but I was glad they did. They pulled it off with no problem sounding just like they did on 3 Car Garage telling the story of a "one legged solider". I really couldn't find anytime that they messed up or sounded different on this song at all. Sometimes I was thrilled when they started singing this song! I love it! They sounded so cute! They switched around the verses a little singing the second first and the first second but over al it was the same. With you in your dreams What can I say. They sunded incredible. My reached out at them when they began this song, they introduced it and explained why they wrote, I thought it was so sweet! As they sang they put alot of feeling and emotion into it and that's what captured the crowd. Madeline This song sounds so awesome acoustic! They made it longer too. At the end where they repeat the chorus they sounded like they had ended it and took a big pause but then sang it again. At this time Taylor and Zac leave the stage leaving Isaac along on a dark set. More than Anything I could not believe how great Ike sounded! I was so happy to hear him do a solo and what a great solo it was. Anyone who says Ike is charmless could be proved wrong here. He sang with incredible charm and a great voice. Zac and Tay come back and the concert continu4es no longer acoustic. Man from Milwaukee This song was very cool but since it wasn't acoustic Zac was playing the drums so he couldn't use his megaphone. But instead he just said that part in a really cute voice. Speechless I'd never heard this song live before and it was cool. It seemed quite a bit faster than usual but it was still great. Look at you This of course "sounded cool". It was a little different though because they didn't have all the make up noises and stuff but it was fine on it's own. I will come to you I died on this song too. They sounded so perfect and sweet and Tay of course pointed to everyone at the end when he says "I will come to you" and everyone of course thought he was pointing to them in paticular and started freaking out. Thsi sounded the same but everytime I hear it sounds better and I love it more. Mmmbop They sang this of course!!! It sounded great and the crowd was all into it. They didn't change annything big about it but it seemed a little longer. Well Hanson said that was it for the night and left the stage but practically immeadiatly returned to sing a song and a half? Summertime Blues They sounded really funny in this song but in a great way. Isaac kept doing these funny voices and it was hilarious! Most people didn't seemed to know this song so everyone just clapped along.hanson seemed to really enjoy playing this one. They ended the concert doing a quick a cappela of a section of weird and being the talented boys that the are of course sounded great. That concert was the most incredible experience of my life and I will never forget it. Anyone who has said Hanson is not talented could be proved terribly worng at this concert. They shows their incredible talent and musical skills and pulled off a great show! -Erin
