LIFE is certainly peachy in the realm of EP's at the moment as current flavours of the month, Jonathan and Brian from the uber-rockers KoRn, came round for a good licking. Finding himself with 'No place to hide'....the right 'Orrible Judge Silver.

SOUNDGARDEN
@@@@
"Burden In My Hand"

Jonathan: "It's killer. I like 'Burden in my Hand'. It's killer, classic Soundgarden. 'Karaoke' starts out cool, but it goes into something stupid. But overall it's a good realease."

Brian: [laconically] "Great... Soundgarden... The second song is great up to the 'oh yeah' part. The beginnings kinda trippy. You don't need to buy though, cos it's always on TV!"

NEUROTIC OUTSIDERS
@
"Jerk"

Jonathan: "I don't like them at all."

Brian: "I heard it took them 45 or 46 seconds to write that song. Well it sounds like it."

Jonathan: "Why did John Taylor [ex-Duran Duranie] go do something like this? That sucks."

Brian: "Damn you, John Taylor - you broke Jonathan Davis's heart!"

Jonathan: "You did something Gay. It's alright for that kinda music, but I'm not into that kinda music at all, this poppy punk shit."

Brian: "It's them trying to fit into today's music, but not succesfully."

METALLICA
"Hero Of The Day"
@ 1/2

Jonathan shakes his head in disbelief, while Brian cringes until the distorted guitar kicks in and, suddenly it's air guitar central!

Jonathan: "I prefer Metallica when they were men!"

Brian: "I'd give the verses like a 1, maybe 2, but the middle part gets a 3."

IRON MAIDEN
"Virus"
0 (No fists!)

Brian: "Leave the past in the past."

Jonathan: [after laughing his head off when Blaze's vocals come in] "That's horriable, man. That's shit."

Brian: "Did I like old Madien? Hell yeah! 'Number Of The Beast', and 'Piece Of Mind', it was over after that."

Jonathan "This gets a 0."

SOLUTION A.D.
"Fearless"
@@@

Jonathan: "I like 'Fearless', but the second song's horrible. No it isn't very original, but..."

Brian: "It is catchy and groovy, though."

FEEDER
"Stereo World"
@@@@@

Brian: "That's fucking out there."

Jonathan: "I'd have to be in the mood to fucking listen to it, but it's good."

Brian: "It's cool!"

Jonathan: "They could make it in America if they work hard enough at it. I'd buy it, it's the best we've heard so far."

Brian: "Yup, I'd buy it."

KERBDOG
"Sally"
@@@@

Brian: "It's melodic, catchy, very '96."

Jonathan: "Yeah, they do sound American, but it's good! I like it a lot. I'd take them out on the road."

Do you think they sound too much like Husker Du?

Jonathan: "I never listened to Husker Du."

Brian: "Who? Never heard of them."

SPACEHOG
"Space Is The Place"
@@@

Jonathan: "Disappointed."

Brian: "Horriable."

Jonathan: "I liked the old single they had out, but this... I don't like it, it's the same fucking played out chung-chung-chung-chung...."

Brian: "Choo-choo-dak!"

Jonathan: "That same old poppy punk shit. I don't like it."

Brian: "The lyrics are good and twisted, though."

Jonathan: "Yeah, 3 for the lyrics."

NADA SURF
"Popular"
@@

Brian: [impersonating Mike Muir] "All I want is just one pepsi! That's a fucking Mike Muir rip-off. This songs got phat in the states."

Jonathan: "They're pretty big. I don't like em'. I think they suck. Something about the whole song just irratates me, I can't explain it. Plus, the video has the same High school thing as our 'Clown' video and that left a bad taste in my mouth. It's pretty close to a rip-off."

Brian: "They'll get bigger, they're more poppy. They're not bad, they just ripped off Mike Muir."
