Where to Get the Rom (the SNES game)!
Check out the Following Site: Fire Pro Heaven. They now have multiple places for the SFP ROM.
[email protected] is gone, along with my AOL account, so no more ROM forwarding. Sorry folks
After you get the ROM, get an emulator... here are your list of choices:
In the new SNES9X, the advantage is pure,
unwavering (very even) speed. Though you'll have to disable sound for the
ROM to run (I use Snes version 1.00a and -ns at the DOS prompt), it's worth
it as this is this emulator can run Hyper Battle Royal's with no slow down.
Some tweaking (adding VESA support, messing with the Frame Skip rate) may
be required for optimum speed on your PC setup. Type in SNES9x by itself
in version 1.00a to see a list of commands. Here goes the basic course
of action to get the game working with my SRM
**- MY ROM name is
sfpwxs.smc; yours could be anything ending in .smc, .fig, .swc. Replace
sfpwxs.smc with your ROM name when following instructions:
1) Backup your current SRM* by typing:
rename sfpwxs.srm backup.srm
* - sfpwxs.srm is MY default SRM- yours will always be the root name (before the period) of the ROM followed by .srm
2) Rename joelcat.srm to make it your default SRM file*:
rename joelcat.srm sfpwxs.srm
3) Run SNES9x as usual, making sure to disable sound and adding to the line below any other options you want**.
snes9x sfpwxs.smc -ns
THE FOLLOWING IS USELESS FOR
USERS OF SNES9X v. 90 & ABOVE
Check out this trick: you
can get the first 20 guys made in ESNES to work in SNES9x v. 20 or .24!
You need 20guysa.s96, though. First, copy the SRM file under the name sfpwxs.srm
to the SNESNAPS folder. Load up SNES9X, and load the rom (remember sound
doesn't work and you need to set APU emulation off in the options menu).
Then go to Load State (remember to access the menus press ESC), and load
up 20guysa.s96. Got me so far? Now check if it works, go back to the SNES9X
menu, and go to reload SRAM file. You should have the ESNES guys! Don't
go beyond 20 however or the ROM will crash! Use whoever you want however,
by reorganizing the characters. EXTRA: YOU CAN USE Snes9x with SFP and
all Human games and get sound! Christopher Atkins (thank you) just mailed
me on this: use switch -ratio 3
It's cool, sound works, you can save up to 80 guys and the bosses work. The only drawback is that it requires mode switching to see certain screens correctly (press F12), and that Hyper Battle Royals generally cause slowdown due to lack of an Automatic framerate.
Oh, by the way, you GamePad users might want to know that ESNES switches the X and B buttons. On the keyboard, I got used to SNES9x's keys, so I changed them to that using ESNES -KEYS. Not using a Gamepad also gives you the advantage of extra speed, generally in all emulators
Download the SRM file ! You'll get guys like Austin, Kane, Goldberg, Hogan, Warrior, Nash, HBK, Helmsley and a LOT more! Newest version has a bunch of tag teams, ALL 80 guys are completed! Go get it! This will work for ESNES, ZSNES, NLKE, & the newest versions of SNES9x. Read on!
I found that a lot of my mail comes from folks who wanna know how to get it working. This is how you use the SRM in ESNES**:
ESNES sfpwxs.fig -sram joelcat.srm
At the end of that, throw in whatever other
commands you want, like -nosound or -joy4. If you play mute, by the
way, typing -nosound increases the play speed (rather than picking no sound
card at the pop up menu).
...adding anything else you want to the line as far as options (such as -autoframe)
Get it, get it, get it is all I hafta say... click the ZSNES logo on this page. It has a GUI, it runs like butter in EVERY mode, and doesn't freeze after the match (make sure sound is enabled). The Gamepad Pro works with all the buttons usable!!! Start, select, L and R! This emu is only gonna get better.
You can use SRMs with this emulator, but the SRM must have the same root name as the ROM**
1) See Snes9x instructions #1
2) See Snes9x instructions #2
3) Type in at the command prompt**:
zsnes sfpwxs.smc
Try this out:
For a notable speed increase, use the New
GFX engine option! Isn't that sweet- it goes even faster! Try getting a
VESA driver- it helps with all the Emulators.
Phil is the F'n Man! He translated the ROM
fully, got a patch to fix EVERYONE's head, made some nifty SFP Utilities,
and unlocked hidden moves from the moves list! Check it out at his page:

Is that it? I hope so! Go continue your SFP need at my Links page for more SFP sites!

questions ONLY after reading the contents of this page AND the text help
file I included with the ROM.
