Diary Of a Black Man
Baps-bass
Baps is 100%, chip off the old block nice guy.It would be false to say that i've never fallen out with him, but I haven't.He is possibly the only person in the world who constantly makes fun of his own race in a totally unserious fashion, preferring to be the showman and the gent over the procrastinator and the arsehole.
He has the largest bass in the world, possibly with the largest five string neck in europe and listens constantly to virtuosic bass players like Marcus Miller etc.
His crowning band achievements have to be either It's Quiet Outside, with it's sublime gently slapped bassline or Diary Of A Black Man, which, although utterly non pc in the death threat territory, is funky, aggressive and angry a la rage against the machine, one of bap's big influences.
He performed with blue hair and a leather jacket with nothing underneath @ equis' first gig @ glasgow high school which was absolutely bizarre...
Ever the honest, baps has a way with words that is challenged only by me for being insulting but humourous at the same time.
In short, he does it the way only he can.
