Sometimes I wish/I could pick up/ Walk away/ Be released from this madness/
So night and day I pray to alleviate the sadness/
Plaguing this globe where society’s deceived/
From what we first believed but it needs to be retrieved/
Before it’s too late but not for the here and now/
Cause the soul’s everlasting unlike numbers in the Dow/
I’ve seen millenniums pass like second in your minute/
Not bound by idioms or a mind that’s finite/
Still yearning for my youth/ When I used to laugh slow/
Now instead of truth/ I’m searching for the cash flow/
In those days/ I was always creative/
Now in my ways/ I’m feeling like a native/
Distant not persistent/ To reignite the fire/
But consistent in my plight to fulfill the desire/
To roam the earth/ Reconnect with my birth/
Nurturing my spirit/ Searching for the worth/
In this physical plane/ Where we are a grain/
Of sand in the hour glass/ A link in the chain/
But we never extend/ False prophecies we bend/
TO our advantage/ But is it truly an end/
That justifies the means/ As bullets rip through spleens/
From streets of Sarejevo to the projects in Queens/
True reality’s been lost/ Duplicated/ Integrated/
But what has been created only leaves us violated/
From healthcare to welfare/ To tickets from no parking/
With the triple six marking/ I see the sky darken/
Only to reveal/ What is really real/
So I open up my mind and let the universe heal/
