Shaun Ryder reached his critical mass sometime after the release of �It�s Great When You�re Straight�Yeah!�. He has since been sent on a spiraling regression, tumbling back towards the tried and tested old turf of the Happy Mondays. He has though, on his way back, managed to grab some of the greatest �Grape moments from the first album and even dipped his toes in fresher waters. Although he may not have made it to pastures new quite yet, the resulting album is the sound of a deeper, blacker �Grape, and is simply quite superb. James Berry. |
