As you can guess this is a page about the Whitbread Around the World Yacht Race. It has only just come up so it frankly sucks at the moment. As of 15/2/1998 at 00:10:00 GMT these were the positions of the yachts: | EF Language 0.00 Swedish Match +104.9 Toshiba +130.0 Merit Cup� � +166.7 Innovation Kvaerner +167.6 BrunelSunergy +285.5 Chessie Racing +309.8 Silk Cut +848.4 EF Education +1408.3 Silk Cut got into their current position after hitting a submerged ice berg in the dark. They broke the mast at the second spreader. Ef Education broke their mast and are going into a port for repairs. They are cruising at around 9 knots on their tiny emergency sail.
