Morgan

I ignored the gentle knock on the front door, completely forgetting that the butler was off on vacation for the next 2 weeks. When it became more persistent I was forced to leave my mochachino and newspaper, to answer it. I was more than slightly perturbed by the time I reached the door because the knocking had become incessant and extremely annoying, one or two knock every few seconds would suffice. There was no need to try and bang the door down.

Once I had opened the door to reveal my nephew Noah, I let my emotions fly at him. The kid was an annoying little imp if I've ever seen one. He has been spoiled since birth, and it showedalthough his twin sister seemed to handle it pretty well. The kid harassed my daughter, and acted so childish at all times. There was rarely a time when he was visiting that I didn't want to smack him one. Yesterday he was acting extremely puerile and vexatious and he refused to leave my daughter alone with that nice young man he'd brought with him, the two were obviously hitting it off and he couldn't stand not being the center of attention. I wondered why such a nice boyTaylor, that was his name, would want to hang out with Noah for any extended period of time.

I gave Noah a piece of my mind and then let the whole family, who had accumulated behind him, in the house. Noah gave me a dirty look as he passed by me and I pretended to ignore him. There was no sense in me, as an adult, joining in on his childish games.

Once everyone was settled and had their desired breakfast cuisine, I again returned to my paper and mochachino. Only to be interrupted a few moments later, although this time the interruption was polite. I looked up and into the most earth shattering blue eyes I'd ever seen, it was no wonder my daughter had a thing for this boy!

"Excuse me Mrs. Cartwright, I was just wondering if you knew where Callista was?" he amiably asked.

I smiled in spite of myself, the boy was good-looking, and he had apparently been raised wellboy did my daughter know how to pick them. "Yes, Taylor, she's in her room. She hasn't woken yet. But you know what, you should go and wake her now, we need her to get ready and she's not being the greatest host at the present, now is she?"

"Are you sure?" his face lit up at the prospect.

"Yes, go ahead, and call me Morgan."

He smiled and nodded calmly although I could sense his charge at being able to see Callista again, she had a strange way of doing that to boys, although I'd never seen one react so rigorously. I knew that this guy was going to be special to Callista. I had known it since last evening, the way they reacted to each other, the look they had in their eyes as they looked at each other. All classic signs that they broad casted to us while they were rapt in each other.

Everyone finished their meal and we began the laborious process of deciding what everyone wanted to do together. With 8 people in my family and 5 people in my brother's it was no easy task. Finally, about 25 minutes later everyone had agreed to go out to Roosevelt Field Mall for the day. As we began rounding everybody up to leave I noticed that Callista and Taylor still hadn't joined us. Once again smiling I slowly trekked up the stairs to Callista's room. I strolled down the hall and up to her open door. Stopping in the doorway I looked in on the two and couldn't decide whether to be fuming or ecstatic. Laying on her bed were the two teenagers, engaged in an arousing lip lock. I should've known this would happen. Deciding that Callista was an intelligent girl and that Taylor was too well raised to make any rash decisions I cooled off considerably.

"Mhmmm.." I gently cleared my throat to make them aware of my presence and then continued as they broke apart hurriedly, faces flushed and breathing quickened. "You guys, we're leaving for Roosevelt Field in a half hour so you should be ready." I beamed calmly at the two and then left them alone to compose themselves.

I could remember what it was like to be young and in love, I had met my husband when I was 14, and all of those feelings flooded back to me as I watched those two together. They were so adorable that it was amusing and I hoped that for their sake things would work out in the end. I wasn't going to stop them from being together and I knew David wouldn't either. My major concern was Noah, the pain in the posterior that he was, and the fact that Taylor was from so far away. If they became attached to each other, which apparently they were, when he left it would hurt all the more. Not to mention the fact that he is an international star and there are millions of girls worldwide that want him and wouldn't hesitate to maim or kill my daughter if she stands in their way. For the time being my prayers are with themyoung love is one of the most wonderful things in life.
