Isaac

I sat down on the plane to Long Island and listened quietly to my sister's discussing the importance of Barbie's image and how it reflects on society. I swear that my sisters are 40 year olds stuck in a child's body. Granted they could be immature and hyper, and they still played Barbie's and such but, they discussed such mature subjects and spoke so well that it was disarming.

Looking forward I saw my mother and father conversing quietly, no doubt about the situation with Taylor. The whole situation scared me because I knew Taylor like I knew myself and he wasn't lying to me. He really and truly thought he was ready for this, and he loved the girl, but I can't see how after a week and a half someone can be ready to end one part of their life and begin another that is so totally different. I knew my mother was scared, and I knew my father would be too but for some reason I figured that they wouldn't stop Taylor. Neither would I, at least I don't think I will, I've got to meet this Callista first then I'll formulate an opinion.

"Isaac, could you please answer me when I ask you a question, I would really appreciate it."

"What Ave?"

"I said, do you think that if Barbie were to weigh approximately 15 pounds more and be made in more realistic proportions to the accustomed woman's body that super models today might appear different, or even just the appearance of woman in general might be affected. In other words, the opinion of the general public about what beauty can be defined as would be different than it is at present?"

See what I mean, any other six year old would not be discussing that situation, nor would any other six year old ask that question, never mind in that way.

"Why are you asking me that question?"

"Fine, if you must be a spoil sport then we won't include you in any further discussions. We, Avery and I, thought that you looked jaded and that you might enjoy having a conversation with us, I presume that you would much rather stare off into space and think about Rhyann or something along those lines."

I wondered what these two ate for breakfast, and where in the world they learned to act in such a way, but I turned to stare off into space once more, hoping to pass time without having to do anything requiring much more than breathing.

I stepped out of the tunnel and into the terminal in MacArthur Airport, relieved to see that there were no screaming girls awaiting our arrival. No one had been able to find out about our travel plans, thank the lord, and we were allowed to make a quiet and hopefully relaxing trip.

We picked up our luggage and avoided a run in with a fan, then we climbed in the chauffeured car they had sent for us, heading off for the Cartwright residence where we were invited to spend the next week and a half.

We pulled up to the house, well actually the gate, and I could hear the collective gasp of my family. It's no wonder they could afford the space to have my large family stay there along with much of their family.

I could see the appeal this girl might have already. I'm all for love but money was a huge bonus and Tay might just be smarter than we thought. I mean my first impression of her, just from seeing her house, not even meeting her, was great and if she's near as good looking as Taylor says she is then well...she's won my vote.

We were sitting in some rec. room, god knows where in her house and just talking. Noah was ranting about what a tragedy it was that he had chosen to bring Taylor here and apologizing in advance for any damage that we might find in Taylor. Jessie and Avie had disappeared with one of Callista's sisters, Lexiann, and they were playing Barbie's or something along those lines. Zac was eyeing up the other sister Eve who was about a year older than he was. She was shyly smiling back at him and I knew it was a matter of moment s before he went over to her and began to put on the 'zacster' act, in which he tried to act cool and desirable. It usually worked on girls, god knows why though, it was horrible, I guess they felt guilty watching a boy make such a fool out of themselves for her and they took him in out of pity, saying no would be to heart breaking for the child. I mean, they wouldn't want to turn another young heartthrob gay, losing Jonathan Taylor Thomas was already more than they could bear. Although it helped Taylor out a bit because he hated how girls always went on about how cute JTT was and what not, now Taylor could have more spotlight.

I myself was awaiting the arrival of Master Taylor and Mistress Callista, as the butler had called them. They had gone out on a date to the Ice skating rink and were due home soon, I needed to see this Callista before I went nuts.

Just as I was thinking about what she could possibly have done to my brother that had him so hooked, they waltzed in the room, apparently lost in one another. Taylor was grasping her hand in his and they were chattering away in some strange language that only they two could understand a rapid version of English. I knew Taylor spoke fast, just listen to Mmmbop, but I wasn't aware that anyone else was able to, just the fact that they understood each other was amazing. 'The language of Love' my mother would call it.

I gave her a quick once over, okay so it was a long and drawn out once over but still Taylor was right the girl was gorgeous, it was a pity she wanted to spend her whole life with Taylor, she could've made many men very happy in her time. She was shorter than Tay but still of a good height and her hair was beautiful, her eyes I could tell were like a window to her soul, and she had a great body. 'Pretty and rich, bet she's got a sparkling personality too, mom's gonna love this girl' I thought to myself as She came over to me slowly inn order to introduce herself.

"Hi, you must be Isaac. Taylor's told me so much about you, I'm Callista." She smiled brightly and shook my hand. I spied a promise ring on her hand as we shook and I smiled to myself. Taylor had always said that he was going to give his first true love one of those, that she could remember him by forever, if they got married or not.

I knew the old Taylor was gone and a new one was going to take his place. A lovesick, fool devoted to the fact that he needed to turn Callista Cartwright to Callista Hanson very soon. The look in his eyes said it all, it was over Tay was no longer an innocent child he was a man in love. I hoped for his sake she was like he, head over heels and totally in love with commitment.
