Taylor

I was so upset when Noah came in the room, for more than one reason. Actually there were six: #1- I was thisclose to kissing Callista, #2- He looked so happy to be interrupting us, #3- I was thisclose to kissing Callista, #4- He wouldn't leave so that we could continue, #5- I was thisclose to kissing Callista, #6- Callista looked so upset, it was adorably heart wrenching. I wanted to deck him, cause he would have done the same had I interrupted him like that, but I just squeezed Callista's hand and smiled.

Noah sat down on the couch next to me and gave me a sinister grin, I'm gonna have to talk to him alone Sometime tonight, I thought. I gripped CJ's hand even tighter and she looked over at me longingly.

We were joined shortly by Callista's large family, and the once seemingly empty space of her expansive living room was swelling with people. I sat squished next to Callista with Mikeala practically seated in my lap on my left. Everyone exchanged gifts and I realized that there was more than one rich group in this family. Everyone traded extravagant gifts, from exquisite Pens for the men to toys straight from FAO Schwarz for the children and Leather coats to the ladies. And even though I had received no gifts from anyone there I was overjoyed to be in their presence. I had almost never had a more joyous holiday.

After all the gifts had been exchanged everyone left the room. The only people left in the living room were Callista Beccaleigh Noah Mikeala Brendan, Eve, and I. Everyone was engaging in small conversations and I was about to try and get Callista alone when Mikeala took me aside. Over Mikeala's head I saw Callista leave the room. I had not expected her to be so tense; she never acted like that when we had talked before. We were standing on the first step of the staircase that led up to the second floor. It was a large ornate staircase and it split off into two directions much like those that you had see in movies and such. I looked expectantly at Mikeala, and she spoke up.

" Taylor, I need to tell you something and I'm not sure how you'll take it but I don't want it to change our friendship," she then took a long slow breath. I felt my knees nearly buckle, this could not be good news at all, and I had a feeling I knew what she was about to say. " I, oh god this is so hard to say...I really like you a lot, I think I may love you and..." She stopped talking and grabbed my waist pulling me frighteningly close. My suspicions had been confirmed and now I realized I had to get out of this situation tactfully before Callista could see anything.

" You're standing under the mistletoe." Mikeala breathed into my ear, only her breath didn't make me shudder in joy but want to lean over and Purge my Christmas dinner. She then pulled my head close to hers and kissed me. I tried in vain to pull away but she was diesel and held me tight. Her rough tongue shoved my lips apart and pushed its way into my mouth. I was squirming about trying to free myself from her ever-tightening grip when I saw Callista over Mikeala's shoulder. She had her hand covering her mouth and in the glow of the candlelight I could see the tears welling up in her beautiful eyes.

' Oh no! Come on Mikeala let me go, stop and breathe or something!! Man does this family have impeccable timing.' I thought to myself.
