If you are as unfortunate as we are, your screens, magazines and innumerable other media outlets will have been flooded by advertising for the crap labeled by the Virgin Marketing People as "Spice Girls Merchandise".
This merchandise is mainly aimed at the pre and early teenage female population in (vague) line with the "Girl Power" image projected. No doubt the 8 - 13 years male market will also be subjected. These badly made products are often no different from their "non-spice" counterparts except for a tiny sticker with a badly printed "Spice Girls" logo on the side and an R.R.P. showing that it retails at double the normal price.
These products would be nothing, of course, without the adjoining advertising featuring - you guessed it - the girls themselves. We have seen them walking naked down a busy street for Impulse "Spice Girl" deoderant (it stinks too), getting kicked out of a Catholic boarding school for Polaroid (we can only guess what those photos were of... probably gerbils) and doing something for Pepsi.
These are but some of the economic rationalist deceptions played upon people in an attempt to increase the profit margins for the owners of the Spice Girls images and names. We have seen Spice Girls Lollies, Spice Girls Dollies and Spice Girls Pollies forced upon and unsuspecting and already suffering world. Why, the question is finally asked, do we need more?
