Sharon and Catey were on their way to pick up Nick and Brian at Orlando International. They decided to take Sharon's Jeep so Catey and Brian could be dropped off at their home in Orlando and Sharon and Nick could drive back to Tampa. Sharon had just picked up Catey and from there it was only a 15 minute drive to the airport.
"I can't wait to see Brian, I've missed him so much. He always buys me tons of presents when he goes away, I can't wait to see what he has for me this time. I hope its jewelry," Catey said. Sharon hated how aloof Catey was acting, as if nothing had happened between her and Justin just two nights ago. She didn't reply to anything Catey had to say, she just ignored her.
"Come on let's play some BSB tunes to get in the mood of seeing our men again. Do you have a copy of Millennium in here?"
"Yeah it should be in the CD player. Its all I've been listening to, and its not even out yet. I hope I don't get sick of it. Put on track 8, its my favorite. I think its called The One."
"Ok," Catey said. They listened to the CD for a bit longer until they pulled into the airport parking lot.
"What's the gate number again?" Sharon asked.
"Gate B42. Flight number 0128." The girls walked over to the gate and saw the guys waking off of the flight with a barrage of bodyguards. There were a few fans who had somehow found out what their flight was, too. Sharon made a beeline for Nick. She threw herself at him and they hugged and kissed hello. The rest of the guys thought it was odd how different their hello was from their good-bye when Sharon had dropped Nick off at the airport a week earlier. Meanwhile, Brian and Catey were having their own little hello. They were practically all over each other. Nick glared hard at Catey giving her evil eyes.
"Nick, remember, you can't say anything. You have to act normal or else they'll know something's up. You don't want to hurt Brian, do you?"
Nick didn't reply to Sharon's comment but he stopped the evil eyes toward Catey and even hugged her hello. Sharon, Nick, Brian, and Catey bid their farewells to Kevin, Howie, and AJ and went on their way to Brian and Catey's house.
"So Brian what did you get me???" Catey asked in the annoying voice she always took on when Brian was around.
"Baby you'll have to wait until we get home, ok? But in the meantime give me a kiss." Nick and Sharon tried not to vomit at the couple making out in the back of Sharon's car.
"So, Nick, tell me about your trip," Sharon said in attempt to divert their attention from the obvious.
"It was pretty boring until we made up, then it became tedious because I wanted to come back and see you so badly. Did you miss me?"
"Of course I did. Tell me about the video shoot!"
"Ok, ok. The fans were annoying. I looked fat. What else is there to say?"
"I'm sure you looked great. You're not fat! You're...healthy. I love you just the way you are."
"Aww, thanks," Nick said just as they pulled into Catey and Brian's drive way.
"Uh, guys? We're here," Sharon said.
"Yeah, get out," Nick said rather rudely.
"Oh, thanks guys. I didn't notice we were here all ready. Come on baby," Brian said to Catey. The two got out and collected Brian's luggage. They waved good-bye to Nick and Sharon as they drove off to I-4 west.
"Thank God they're gone. Does she have any morals at all?"
"She's just trying to forget what she did, Nick. It?s her way of dealing with things, that's all. Fuck them, let's worry about each other. What're we up to tonight?"
"First of all, we're pulling over and switching sides. I'm not gonna let you drive drunk, what's the matter with you?"
"I drove to Brian and Catey's just fine!"
"That was a 15 minute drive. Let me take over now."
"Bastard," Sharon said but she gave up. She was sick of driving anyway.
The ride home wasn't very eventful. They flirted a bit and listened to music. They acted pretty goofy, as usual.
When they approached their house, Sharon asked, "So what's the plan for tonight? Dinner? A movie? Dancing?"
"Anything you want. I am kind of hungry."
"Me, too. Why don't we go out to eat and then take a walk on the beach? It'll remind us of old times."
"Very good idea, I can't wait."
They got home and started cooking dinner. They decided to stay in to eat to avoid fans.
"Nick, dinner's ready. Set the table please," Sharon said about 45 minutes after she began preparing dinner.
"Ok." Nick set the table and they began having a nice leisurely meal.
"You're not talking much," Nick said after several minutes.
"I'm eating," Sharon replied.
"You've barely touched your food. But you sure are having a lot of your drink there. Don't you think that'll spoil your appetite?"
"Please don't start a fight, I thought we were going to have a nice romantic night?"
"Well, that'll be heard to do if you're passed out. What're you drinking anyway?"
"Vodka."
"Vodka. When do you drink vodka?"
Sharon was beginning to be pushed to the edge by his interrogation.
"Whenever!"
"Do you drink it a lot?"
"TONS. All right? That's what you want to hear isn't it? Why do you always have to pick a fight and ruin a nice night?"
"I'm not, just calm down. Geez, I can't ask a few simple questions without you jumping down my throat."
"Well what the hell kind of a question is 'when do you drink vodka?' Why do you care? It's not a problem!"
"Hey you're the one making a big deal about this. I just noticed you weren't eating much of your meal when earlier on you said you were hungry."
"Shut up."
"Fine. So, are you still up to go to the beach?"
"NO!"
"Why not?"
"You can't just pretend as if we didn't just get into a fight, I'm still angry you know! You always try to blow things off, it makes me sick."
"What are you so angry about?!"
"I'm angry that you think my drinking is a problem! Admit it, you want me to stop. You think I'm an alcoholic!"
"I don't think it, I know it. Everyone knows it!" Sharon was outraged. "But...you told me you'd never be bothered by my drinking! You promised you would never mention it to me and that you would never ask me to stop. You have about a billion times since we've met!"
"I've only ever mentioned your drinking twice in two years. I'm breaking the promise. I want you to stop."
"Or what?"
"Or...there's gonna be a problem."
"Well I'll take my chances." Sharon grabbed her drink and went upstairs. Nick didn't follow her.
