He walked over to me and I turned around and started dancing. He came behind me and we started dancing. He really was a good dancer. On a certain part in the song we started battling against each other. He would do one move and I would do another. I did this one move where I popped my hips (like the dance called the tick or like pop locking with just my hips). He smiled and did it even better. Okay okay so he was more than a pretty good dancer. I pulled my hair back and did this one move where I tapped the ground and jumped back up. Suffice to say we kept going on and on like that way into the next two songs. Finally we went to sit down and get something to drink.
"You guys ripped it up," Shannah laughed.
"You're a good dancer," Howie complimented me.
"Thanks," I laughed fanning myself.
"Yeah, girl you are too much," A.J. said.
Everyone stood up to go dance, but A.J. and I stayed there. We talked for a bit sipping our drinks. The song "I Get So Lonely" by Janet Jackson came on and we stood up to dance. He took me in his arms and I looked up into his eyes. As I stared into those chocolate brown depths I wondered was I falling in love? I mean we had only known each other for two days and already I thought of him as MY boyfriend. I hoped this was more than just a little fling, but who knows? I wished I could read his mind and know what he felt for me.
"I don't want to leave L.A.," he said into my hair.
"What?" I asked.
He took my hand and led me into a hallway leading to the bathrooms. We stood under the lights as he told me what he felt.
"I don't want to leave L.A. because I've met someone so fly and so dope that I don't want to be away from her for too long," he said.
There couldn't have been a more romantic thing he could have said to me. I smiled as I walked into his arms. The halls were empty as we slow danced to him singing "Anywhere For You". We kissed as he ended the song and I wiped the tears from the corners of my eyes. This was and will always be the best summer of my life. We returned to the dance floor where we danced a bit more.
By 10 the club was jumping, we were all dancing and having fun. Monifah's "Touch it" was on and we were all in the same area dancing. On the "I'm a show ya body what ya lips are doing wrong" part he touched my lips and pressed his body a little closer to mine. Of course never to be outdone on the "I'm a show ya body what ya d___ is doing wrong" part I turned around, bent over, and freaked him bending over. I know I shouldn't have, but I couldn't control myself. I never could when it came to A.J. When I turned back around he was looking at me with a funny look in his eyes. I noticed Shannah was near me.
"You are out of control," she laughed.
"Tell me something that I don't know," I said quoting Mase.
"Come to the restroom with me and Jessica," she said.
I nodded my head as I told A.J. where I was going. I followed Jessica and Shannah into the restroom and I stood in front of the mirror fixing my lipstick.
"I saw you two getting freaky on the dance floor girl you better bring it down a notch," Jessica joked.
"A.J. is just too fine and I feel like I'm falling in love," I sighed with a smile.
"That is how I feel with B-Rok. I just want to jump on him every time I see him," Jessica laughed.
"You two are ridiculous, you cannot fall in love in two days," Shannah said.
We both were jerked out of our dreaming by Shannah's words. What was her damage?
"You don't understand, we've known them for longer than just two days. Through magazine articles and interviews we've fallen in love with them and meeting them has only made the love stronger," I explained.
"I still don't think its possible," Shannah laughed as we left the restroom.
I shook my head as I realized Shannah was going to fall for Howie even harder then expected. Denying herself would only make it worse.
