Chapter 10

I awoke to see A.J. still asleep. I climbed out of the bed, careful not to wake him. I turned on the shower and stepped in. As I soaped my Caress sponge I felt two hands rubbing the tension from my body. I turned and saw A.J. smiling at me, a very wet A.J.

"Why Mr. McLean, what do you have in mind?" I asked.

"Some good clean fun," he said.

We washed each other up and down with the Caress bar. I washed A.J. first and then he washed me. Then of course we made love against the shower wall. It was so soft and sweet (for a shower session) that it brought tears to my eyes.

"Tell me you'll miss me," he said against my lips.

"I'll miss you," I said with a sad smile.

A.J. didn't have time for breakfast so we set off to meet the boys at their hotel. We drove over there and weren't surprised to see them out front saying goodbye.

"So you're finally here?" Brian asked.

"We rushed here, we didn't even have breakfast," I said.

"Not food that is," Kevin joked.

A.J. shot him a dirty look as we all guessed his true meaning. Everyone continued saying his or her good-byes. A.J. and I moved away from everyone else. He sat on the back bumper of the bus and pulled me down on his lap. He wrapped his arms around me and we started our last conversation.

"I'm going to miss you when we leave."

"I'm going to miss you too," I said.

"Will you?"

"You know I will. Call me, okay?" I told him.

"I will and I'll drop you some email," he promised.

"I had a lot of fun with you, Bone," I said.

"I had a lot of fun with you too Kelly," he said.

"Maybe you can come out for a visit in a month or so. We're due for down time after we do a few more concerts."

"I will," I promised. We sat there for a few minutes. A.J. started singing Janet Jackson's "I Get So Lonely."

"Time to go Bone," Howie called to us.

I climbed off of his lap and allowed A.J. to walk towards the bus. I didn't want to cry and in fact I had promised myself I wouldn't cry, but I ended up crying anyway. He was half way to the bus when he turned around and saw the tears falling down my cheeks. He ran back to me and took me in his arms. He took my face in his hands and said, "What's wrong? I said I'd call you."

"I-I know its just I'm going to miss you," I stammered.

"I'm still for you Kelly," he smiled quoting Next. And then he gave me the bombest goodbye kiss ever. Our tongues just went wild and well it got hot all of a sudden. He pulled away from me and ran onto the bus. I stumbled back and felt Shannah catch me. Whew what a kiss. You know a kiss is good when you almost collapse from the power of it. We all watched as our men, the Backstreet Boys, drove away. I knew no one felt especially cheerful because I myself didn't but I had to try anyway.

"How about we all go back to my house, eat candy, watch romance movies and talk about A.J. and the rest," I said.

"I don't know, I think I want to be by myself," Dominique pouted.

"No she's right, we won't be so depressed if we talk about it," Jessica said.

"I'm game," Hazel said.

Everyone agreed and we drove down to my house. All of us crowded into the kitchen to pop popcorn, scoop ice cream, and fix drinks. We all sat down in my den and ate popcorn.

"The thing I'll miss the most about Kevin is the way he would take me in his arms and rock me back and forth," Dominique said.

"A.J. would do that to me too," I said.

Soon we were having a loud conversation about what we liked the best and what our guys would do.

"I remember Nick and I played Mario Cart and when I won he gave me the sexiest congratulations kiss ever," Hazel sighed.

"Okay enough about that. I don't know about you guys, but I want to hear about Kelly and A.J.," Shannah said.

Everyone voiced their agreement and I sat back laughing with them. "Okay well he came over my house and we kicked it a bit. Then we started kissing and we ended up in the bedroom," I said.

"Was it you know, good?" Hazel asked.

"It was perfect," I groaned.

"So was B-Rok," Jessica said timidly.

"What! Details," I demanded.

"We were in the bus and he was showing me around. We were sitting in the back and we started kissing and then we ended up doing it. It was so overwhelming and so perfect. Brian was so sweet and he wasn't rough at all."

"Well A.J. was at one point, but that was fine with me. I didn't want it soft at the time," I said.

"Howie lived up to the name Sweet D," Shannah laughed.

"Okay," I laughed out loud slapping her raised hand.

"Okay so basically we all made love with them?" I asked.

"Yes," Hazel said.

"YOU had sex with Nick?" I asked astonished.

"Yes, we were over my house playing video games and we started this game strip Tekken 2. Whoever lost would take off one piece of clothing. We both got down to being topless when he just kissed me. We kissed a little more and we wound up in my bedroom, naked and writhing on the bed," Hazel said fanning herself.

"This is amazing we all made love to our dream guys," Dominique said.

"Well I wouldn't call what we did making love, the second nor the third time," I joked loudly.

"Hey now," Shannah laughed slapping my hand.

"You guys are too much for me," Jessica smiled.

We sat there talking for a few more hours about anything that came up. Towards midnight I sat in a corner and just began to think about A.J. The more I thought about him the more I wanted to cry. I managed to keep it in until all the girls had left and then it all came out. I sat there on my couch crying when the phone rang. I looked at my caller ID and didn't recognize the number so I picked it up.

"Hello," I sniffled.

"What's wrong, boo?" A.J. asked.

"Oh nothing," I said trying to smile.

"What's wrong?" he asked seriously.

"I just miss you," I smiled.

"I miss you too, girl."

"All the girls just left, we were talking and stuff."

"About me?"

"Yes and how much we miss you guys already," I laughed.

I sniffled a little and a few more tears fell down my cheeks. I missed him so much! I knew at that exact moment that this was love.

"Its ok Kelly don't cry, we'll be back out there ," A.J. consoled me.

"Its just I miss you lying next to me," I said.

"I miss lying next to you too," he said. Then in the background I heard Nick and Brian aaaahing. I lay back on my couch and talked to him for a bit more.

"Before you get off the phone sing to me, baby," I said.

"What do you want to hear?"

"I want to hear 'So Special' by Dru Hill."

I sat there listening to him sing and when it was over he kissed me goodnight and we hung up. I sat there with the phone still up to my ear and I whispered aloud "I love you."

The next day I resumed my old life. School was just as boring as always and work well work was boring too. I couldn't help but want to talk to A.J. every moment of the day. And when he would page me and leave a little voicemail message I would sigh for hours. One particular day about a month later I was sitting in my living room entertaining Dominique and Jessica when my phone rings. I get up and run towards it and snatch it up.

"Hello," I said.

"Wassup girl," A.J. greeted me.

I felt my heart beat a little faster as the sound of his voice sunk in. "Hey baby," I said.

"It must be A.J.," Jessica laughed.

"Yeah," Dominique agreed.

Just then Dominique and Jessica's cell phones rang. They each grabbed their phone and went to a different room to talk. I sat down on the couch and smiled into the phone.

"What's going down?" I asked.

"Well we have a two months of down time and I was wondering do you want to come out here for a visit?" he asked.

I stared into the phone for a moment before I laughed. Hell yes I would like to come out there, I thought. I told A.J. yes and he said that he'd send me a ticket the next day.

"I want you on a plane out here as soon as possible, girl," he said.

"All right, dear," I laughed.

"So what has my baby been up to this past month?"

"Work and school."

"Yeah well touring hasn't been a bowl of cherries either," he said.

"I bet not," I laughed.

The phone was silent for a minute until A.J. spoke again. "I miss you boo," he said.

"I miss you more, A.J."

"If I know Brian and the rest of them they're inviting their girls out here too."

"Cool beans then I'll have someone to talk to on the plane ride there."

"Well when you get here you'll have someone to talk to and sleep with."

"Lucky me," I commented.

"But look I'll hit you up tomorrow, ok?"

"Sure, bye baby."

"Bye."

We hung up our phones and I jumped up screaming. Jessica and Dominique came running out from different rooms wanting to know what I was yelling about. All I could say was Florida over and over again. They soon hung up their phones and joined me in my reverie. They were going too.

"I have to pack," I said.

"It's a little early don't you think?" Jessica laughed.

"Heck no, I'm leaving as soon as possible," I said.

Over the next few days I discovered that we all in fact were going to Florida courtesy of their Backstreet Boy. About two weeks later we all boarded a plane bound for Florida. I leaned back in my seat and inhaled the plane air. I was actually on my way to see A.J. McLean and I was actually going to stay in his house.

"You're thinking the same thing as me," Shannah laughed.

"I just cannot believe it."

The rest of the flight we kept plying each other with what-ifs. When the plane touched down Florida was still sunny. We took our baggage and headed down the airport stairs. I had planned to rent a car and I was happy to see a rental place practically next door. I told them my plan and walked down to the rental place. Ten minutes later I drove out of there with a 4 door Honda Accord. I honked, picked the girls up, and we were on our way. I dropped everyone off at their designated houses and headed to what A.J. wrote down as his address. I pulled up into the circular driveway and climbed out. I rang the doorbell and waited on his steps.

I couldn't believe I was here in front of Bone's house. When the door opened I turned to greet A.J. and what I saw made my jaw fall open.
