I sat down next to AJ and he immediately turned to me.
"What was that all about?"
"What?" I asked.
"The whole dance routine with N Sync. You guys didn't even dance with us like that in 'Diggin on you'."
"AJ, will you ever get over this jealousy kick?" I whispered.
AJ huffed and puffed and didn't talk to me for the remainder of the award ceremony. When it ended we all took off in the limousine to the after party. We arrived there and were greeted by all kinds of people. I practically fainted when Aaliyah talked to us for about ten minutes. We separated from each other and decided to mingle. I ordered myself a ginger ale and was heading towards a table to sit down when Justin appeared.
"Wassup best video of the year," Justin greeted me loudly.
"Wassup most creative video of the year," I told him. I jumped into his arms and he swung me around.
"Come with me outside I have something to give you," Justin laughed.
"Cool beans," I said.
I followed him outside to and stood there waiting while he closed the door behind us. He took my hand and pulled me onto his lap. He lifted my hand and slipped a thin gold ring on my finger. I looked at it and noticed that it was two entwined dolphins and inscribed in the band was the words 'Never say Never'. I looked at Justin with tears in my eyes.
"Remember that time we were on top of the hotel and we sang that song by Brandy? Well you've become a good friend of mine and I just want to say that I love you."
"I love you too Justin," I sniffed.
Justin lifted my chin and sang the verse "Never say, never say, never say, never." He then leaned down and kissed my lips. I have no idea what happened next, but I was tossed across the concrete and Justin was pushed on the ground.
"What the fuck are you doing?" AJ yelled.
"What the hell are you doing AJ?" I asked.
"I knew he was going to try something."
"And what if I was? You and Kelly aren't engaged anymore," Justin said getting in AJ's face.
"Stop it," I said to them.
"What do you wanna do little boy?" AJ taunted.
"Little boy? I'll show ya ass a little boy," Justin said.
I stepped in between them and separated them.
"Stop," I said to them.
"Naw, he was kissing you," AJ said.
"So," Justin said.
"I'm a kick yo ass," AJ threatened pushing me out the way and grabbing Justin. I fell to the ground and AJ and Justin started fighting. Actually, I know Justin is taller than AJ and AJ is older, but they were squabbing. They were getting with each other. All of a sudden the rest of N Sync, Backstreet Boys, and 2 Much came in. 2 Much rushed over to me while Backstreet and N Sync broke the fight up.
"Man, this ain't over," Justin said.
"Count on it," AJ said.
"Come on Justin," JC said.
As Justin passed me he stopped and looked at me. "Remember what I said and I'll call you," he told me and kissed me. I know he made it a tongue kiss to anger AJ and that just made things worse. AJ tried to rush Justin again, but Howie and Brian were holding him. N Sync left leaving only Backstreet and 2 Much.
"What the hell is your problem?" Howie asked AJ.
"Nothing," AJ growled walking over to me. He grabbed me by the hand and pulled me away from them. We walked out the back way and he pulled me towards the limousine. I was pushed inside and he told the driver my address. We remained silent until we got to my house. I walked in and slammed the door behind me. I didn't even stop to talk to him I found my sister Lindsay and told her she could go home. After she left I walked into the den where AJ was. I slammed the door shut and we went at it.
"What the FUCK was that!" I yelled.
"You tell me," he demanded. "I go looking for my fianc�e only to find her on Justin Timberlake's lap and guess what? You and him told each other you loved each other and he gave you that ring. Tell me Kelly, what the hell is going on?"
"I don't know who you think you are. If you want to know yes I do love Justin. When you walked out of my life it seemed like 2 Much and Justin were the only things that made sense to me. And for the record I am NOT your fianc�e, I WAS your fianc�e," I retorted.
AJ's face just turned beet red and he looked killing mad. He yelled and swung punching a hole in my wall. He ran up on me and grabbed me to him.
"I love you too damn much to lose you to him Kelly. We've been through too much to end it now. You're mine and I can't I won't let you go."
"Stop it AJ. You can't just run in and out my life when it suits you," I screamed. I couldn't take it anymore. I had to get out. I turned around to leave the room, but AJ snatched me back. He tangled his hands in my hair spraying pins everywhere and kissed me hard.
"Stop," I argued.
"No," he said.
He continued to kiss me and slowly I melted. He swung me into his arms and led me to the bedroom. He lay me down on the bed and unzipped my dress. All the while he undressed me he sang 'Lay Down Beside Me'. I had never felt so seduced as I did now. Every inch of clothing he took off put me further under his spell. He took off my thigh highs one after another and he kissed my legs. He then slid my dress down my body and well you get the picture. And as we made love I felt such a pain in my heart that I began to cry.
"Don't," AJ said as licked away my tears with the tip of his tongue. And when he climaxed he groaned in my ear "I love you." We both fell asleep in each other's arms. I woke up the next morning feeling as if a ton of bricks had fallen on me. I looked over at the sleeping AJ next to me and old memories came back. My cell phone nightstand chose that time to ring. I looked at the clock and noticed that it was 12 in the afternoon.
"Yeah," I said.
"What are you doing, Kelly bear?"
"Justin," I whispered climbing out of bed. I put on my robe and left the room.
"I wanted to apologize for what happened last night," Justin said.
"I want to apologize to you," I said.
"That's okay, but hey do you want to go out and kick it today?" Justin asked me. "We could take Xander to see 'A Bug's Life'."
"Justin you know Xander will not stay awake to see the credits to that movie. If you want to see that movie then just ask me to see it with you," I laughed.
"Who are you on the phone with?" AJ asked from the doorway. I turned to him and saw that he was in his boxers and he didn't look happy.
I ignored him and told Justin that I would have to take a rain check on that movie.
"Hit me up later, Curly," I said flipping the phone closed.
"Cool," he said.
I turned to AJ and stood there.
"You were on the phone with him weren't you?"
"Yes I was."
"Why Kelly? Why are you fucking doing this to me, why are you tearing my heart out?" he asked aloud.
"You have some nerve, how dare you place all the blame on me? You did this not me, you were the one who thought you were just so high and mighty and that YOU made me. Well let me tell you something you didn't give me my talent God did, you may have prompted me to use it, but that is it."
"I'm outta here," AJ said. He ran into my bedroom, pulled his clothes on and left the house.
I picked up a glass and threw it at the wall screaming AJ's name. I took Xander and flopped down on the couch where I spent the next few hours playing with him. At around 5 Justin called me.
"What's wrong?" he asked me.
"Must you ask," I replied.
"Guess where I am?"
"Where?"
"I'm halfway to your house so open the door."
Justin was true to his word and I let him in. I had taken a quick shower and threw on some clothes.
"Justin, I don't feel like going out so if that's what you want you can go out with JC and the rest of them."
"I know, I just came over to be with you," he said kicking his shoes off and reclining on one of my couches.
We spent the next few hours watching movies and talking. I pulled out a carton of Dreyer's cookies 'n cream and we ate the whole thing. At 10 p.m. Justin and I were laying on the floor on a blanket face to face in front of the fire. He picked up my hand and laced my fingers through his. He leaned into my ear and whispered, "Can I spend the night with you?"
