"Dammit, you little bitch!" Andrew said, rushing into the kitchen area.
I turned around to face him. Andrew came over to me, and pushed me away from the stove.
"What's wrong?" I asked, frightened.
"I was sleeping! I've had a hard week!" He pushed me to the floor, causing me to land on my right arm.
"I'm sorry, I was only trying to be helpful."
"Why do you have to do things like this?" He said shaking his head.
"Andrew, I'm sorry. I just wanted to surprise you, by making breakfast."
He was silent. "God, Amanda. Why must you be so great to me?"
"Because I love you."
Andrew turned around and walked over to the table, calmed down a little. He pulled out a chair and sat down. I just sat there on the floor. After a few moments, I stood up and walked over to the stove. My arm really hurt. The eggs were burned by now. So I turned the stove off and dumped the eggs in the trash can.
I didn't know what to do then. Whether I should go over to Andrew or if I should just leave. I walked over to the table and sat down in another one of the chairs.
"Andrew?" I asked. I felt tears start to form in my eyes.
He didn't answer, but he turned his head to look at me. Andrew looked into my eyes. A tear fell down my cheek and he wiped it away.
"Don't cry," he said sincerely. He placed his hand on my right arm.
"Ow," I said, pulling it away.
"What?"
"My arm. I think I did something to it, Andrew."
"What?"
"When I fell, I think I landed on it wrong."
"Come on, I'm taking you to the emergency room." Andrew stood up and walked over to the front door. He put his coat on. He grabbed mine and walked back over to me.
"Stand up," he said.
I stood up and he gently put my coat on me. He led me to the door and we walked out to his car. We didn't talk while in the car. Andrew didn't say anything, so I assumed he didn't want to talk.
We arrived at the hospital and Andrew helped me out of the car. He walked me in with his arm around me.
"My girlfriend fell and we need to get her arm checked out," Andrew said to the receptionist.
"Ok, fill out this form, and a doctor will be with you soon," she replied.
Andrew took the form and we went to sit down in the waiting room. Since I couldn't write, Andrew filled out the form for me.
"Cause of injury?" Andrew asked when he got to that question on the form.
"I fell out of bed," I responded. Andrew wrote that down without questioning. He stood up and walked back to the reception desk. Andrew placed the form on the counter and walked back over to me. He sat down and gently put his arm around my shoulders.
After a few moments, a nurse called my name. Andrew and I stood up and we followed a nurse to an empty hospital bed.
"Go ahead and have a seat. A doctor will be with you in a moment," the nurse said. She walked away and closed the curtain behind her. Andrew helped me onto the bed.
"Now you'll get your arm checked out, and we'll go home. And everything will be fine. Ok?" Andrew said, brushing his hand against my cheek.
I gently nodded my head. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go back home with Andrew. Even though I loved him, I was beginning to not feel safe when I was alone with him. I wasn't very sure what to do about it either. I was afraid to tell Kevin and Brian, because I knew that they would over react and hurt Andrew. And I didn't want that to happen.
