Jo's family still live in Essex. Jo's family consists of her Father Dave, her Mother Barbara, her Brother Shane, Sister Julie and of course her beloved Pets Pepsi her dog and her two cats Lolly and Harry Boy. Jo has known her best friend, Laura, since she was eight years old. Before she found fame with S Club she used to work as a an asisstant in a pet shop. She has also worked as a waitress and also in her local Spar!
Jo enjoys listening to R&B and Michael Jackson's music as he is her "ultimate hero." Jo loves singing and has loved karaoke since the age of 12. She has also had a top 40 hit with a band in germany. She also likes the new age Country & Western style of singing too. Jo was able to perfect her singing skills at the Italia Conti School. She loves going to the movies and her favourite film of all time is the musical Grease. She loves Chinese food and Pizza however, she dislikes sweet potato. Her prized possessions are her teddie-bears Gus and Donald. Jo's favourite colour is indigo.If she had not found fame with S Club 7 she would still probably be singing but as a solo artist! Jo also supports the endangred Asian Elephant on behalf of the WWF.

In my opinion Jo is definately the lead singer in S Club 7, although the band can only work with the input of all the members.She has a strong voice and is likely for solo stardom in the future. She is rather loud with a no-nonsense attitude and strong opinion in the TV series' Miami 7, Back to the 50's and Boyfriends and Birthdays. The car mechanic role on TV turns her into a tom-boy character, but a soft side can also be seen with her role in advising the other members. Acting and dancing abilities- well perhaps not the best of the S Clubbers but the strong lead vocals certainly make up for it!

In my opinion Jo also definately leads from the front. Apart from being a complete babe, she is a talented dancer and singer. I would say that Jo is S club's "ace" as she seems to be the focal point of much of what is good about S Club. I hate to be the "merchant of doom" but I see Jo being the first member of the band to breakaway and try and establish herself as a solo artist much like Geri Halliwell has done. I am am not a big fan of their TV series but I think she should concentrate on the singing and dancing and leave the acting alone as I don't think it's all that important even though the band have an upcoming film release.
