"Oh yeah... thanks! *sarcasm* just tell the whole world my secrets!" --- Darren on Brisbane radio a year ago when a old highschool friend told on how Darren used to have blonde hair.
"The beauty of the first record for me is that even as a lyricist it's so naive and wide-eyed about the world." --- Darren on the record breaking album, "Savage Garden".
"I've had complete strangers come up and say that a song I wrote saved their life or say that they hate me and hate what I do." --- Darren on his life now.
"If I ever do that, I am leaving the business!" --- Daniel said to Darren at the U2 POPMART tour in LA when a group member fell off stage, Ironically Daniel did fall off stage himself while on tour.
"We have been to many so called beautiful cities... but Brisbane is the most beautiful of all!!!" ---Darren at the Brisbane (SG's hometown) concert.
"Well... you're looking at it! They lied didn't they?! *LOL*" ---Darren's reply when asked, 'you've been said to have a great face for TV'.
"She's the one that washes my sweaty speedos after a concert... she's an amazing woman." ---Darren on his wife, Colby.
"John Woodruff just taught us that it's a big game..." ---Darren, when asked how he reacts to the many girls wanting him.
"I tend to shy away from it, rather then seek it." ---Daniel, when asked how he reacts to the many girls wanting him.
"This tour is our first real opportunity to go out at a fairly major level and do it right, do it in a manner that our fans deserve. Not many bands get the opportunity to do a show of this size. What will it look like? It'll look like our royalty cheque, basically. You're going to be seeing a lot of money in the show. We're absolutely up for the maximum of glitter, lights, entertainment value." -- Darren on the Australian tour

"We've been looking and trying... but as you all know I'm married." ---Darren on Brisbane radio when asked have they been trying to get any French women.
"To be honest, I'd just rather do what's in my heart. Just because we're commercial doesn't mean our hearts are marketing strategies...Besides the lyric content is fantastic and a lot of the arrangements are great." --- Darren
"It's getting a bit silly now!" ---Daniel after winning the 6th out of 10 ARIA Awards.
"It's very emotional and I know that I've gotten crap for say it... it feels just like my wedding day"---Darren on the ARIAs.
"Darren is rather compulsive in his manner." ---Daniel on what he can't stand about Darren.

"It's taken 12 months for the whole world to bascially hear Savage Garden and it has happened very quickly and they do like it. So I think the secret is maybe there are some good songs on this album and people like good songs." --- Daniel
"Actually we heard this if you're out there silverchair. We heard that at your gig in Brisbane that people were giving you a hard time throwing stuff at you and you actually threatened to play Savage Garden music if they didn't stop. Which I thought was really cool, and you've got balls for saying that." --- Darren

"I never once said I wasn't married. I just didn't talk about it ,and generally I don't. I would never sit down and talk to someone about this sacred relationship. I would never discuss the nuts and bolts of it. It's the only private thing I have in my life, and I cherish that." --- Darren

"We have no embarrassment in saying that we love theatrics, we love whiz bang , woo hoo. We're in the process of designing a set now for a world tour I'd guess you'd call it. We're starting off in Australia and we're taking it around the world. It's exciting you know , most of the money we've earned we're actually spending on this set and lights and streamers and party balloons." --- Darren
"You know... I wanted to look like a man." ---Darren on why he cut his hair.

"I wouldn't mind just sitting out in the sun for an hour or two on a beach somewhere in Australia with nobody there. That'd be cool." --- Daniel
" Everybody's fascinated by Australia and Australians." --- Daniel
" I think a lot of it's got to do with songs first off because the only thing we've got to speak for us is our music. I think there's a definate chemistry between Darren and myself when we sit down and write a song. I think Darren's voice is a superb voice and the way we deliver emotion within songs is real and I think real people have heard this music and real people have got behind it." --- Daniel
"I got a bunch of flowers from a friend of mine today and the message on the card said EAT ME ELTON." --- Darren
