August 13th- From Nettwerk: In TV news: Canada's music video
station, MuchMusic, will be broadcasting a 90-minute
special called 'MuchMusic at Lilith Fair' on *Thursday, August
13th* nationally in Canada. It airs from 3:30pm to 5:00
pm (EST), and it repeats in a slightly condensed
version later that night from 8pm to 9pm (EST). The people from
MuchMusic went down to cover the Cleveland show last week, and
this is the special that came out of it, so be sure to check
it out. For those of you in the States with access to MuchUSA (the
US version of MuchMusic), you should be able to view the
special as well at the times listed above.
And for those of you in Canada with access to MusiquePlus, the
French-Canadian version of MuchMusic, they will be
re-airing the special 'En Ligne Avec Sarah McLachlan' again this
weekend. You can catch it on *Saturday, August 15th*
at 8pm (EST) and *Sunday, August 16th* at 4am and 12pm (EST again, as usual).
Also, US music video station VH1 will be re-airing last year's
'Behind The Music' special on Lilith Fair again tonight
(Aug.12th) at 12am (EST). In media news: there is an article
on Lilith Fair in the latest issue of DETAILS magazine. It's
the issue with Private Damon, er, Matt Damon on the cover looking
like he's posing for a grad photo. We've also been told
that there is a small piece on Sarah in the September
issue of US magazine. Thanks to Toni (as in Antoinette) A. for
pointing those out to us...
August- FROM NETTWERK: In the latest touring news: Lilith Fair
is currently in Cleveland, OH today (Aug.6th) for a
show at the Blossom Music Center. With tomorrow (Aug.7th) as
a day off, the tour will then move into the weekend with a
couple of dates in the state of Pennsylvania in the cities of
Pittsburgh (Aug.9th) and Hershey (Aug.10th). It will then find
its way to Massachusetts in the middle of next week for two
shows (Aug.11th & 12th) in Mansfield at the Great Woods
Center.
In print news: because I've had a few people asking about this,
I wanted to point out that Sarah's appearance in SHAPE
magazine is actually fairly small. Check page 118
for it. Also, if you check the latest issue of ENTERTAINMENT
WEEKLY (Aug.7th issue) magazine, you'll find a couple of small articles
on Lilith Fair.
In other news, when Lilith Fair makes its way up to Canada later
next week, an exclusive two-hour radio special featuring
music and interviews from Lilith Fair will be airing in CANADA on the
CHUM music group of radio station affiliates. This
2-hour special will include songs and/or interviews from Sarah,
Erykah Badu, Cowboy Junkies, Sinead O'Connor, Tara
MacLean, Natalie Merchant, Bonnie Raitt, Wild Strawberries etc.
It will air from between 3pm & 9pm at these various
stations the week of August 14th. Keep your ears open
for this special broadcast in your area. Unless you are on the
border of Canada and the States, you most likely won't be able
to hear this program if you live outside of Canada, though a
few of these stations may broadcast it through their web sites, should
they have one.
