Modem
Ok, most of the internel modem you can buy in the market now is not compatible
with Linux !! especially PCI modem, HSP modem and many other, if you
want to get a modem that works on linux , buy an external !!
What is HSP modem ?
HSP modem are 100% incompatible with linux, this type of modem (actually
it is not a modem) used your CPU and windows to create a 'virtual modem'.
It wasted a lots of your CPU resources and made your cpu FPU slow like
turtles , don't buy a HSP modem !!
many other internal modem using strange way to 'clone ' them self as
a modem....Linux developer are unable to make driver for them because the
way they work are kept secret. But if you have an internal modem that can
set jumper (to change COM and irq), it can work with linux
Tips :
If your modem working in DOS, it will work on linux !!
If it doesn't...........sorry, it will not work on linux.........
