HISTORY

The whole thing started in aug-95. Bjvrn and Martin put a band together, they needed a bassplayer and they asked Jonas if he wanted to join them. They tought he would fit the band, beacuse he had a leatherjacket and long hair. Jonas said yes. They were drinking alcohol and play a few songs like "Paranoid", "Blitzkrieg Bop" and "Buried alive". Lina used to join the band and sing sometimes, later she decided to become a fulltime member. The time past, and they started to write their own songs. They had a really great time!!!

They needed a guitarplayer, and Woody became one in the band. But, he is a really wardrafted guy, so he left them very soon. Then Per came into the picture. They had heard a lot about him, that he was a damn good guitarplayer. They tried to talk to him, but he thought they were insane, and run as fast as he could when he saw them. They had to run and chase him. After a while Per understood that they just wanted him in the band. A few days later they went into a studio, and recorded 4 songs. The sound really sucked, and they wasn't very tight together.

A few months later, they went into a studio again. Then they had rehearsed some more, and had become better musicians. This became their first demotape. They copied it (but most to their friends).

After a few more months, they recorded more songs. But they did4nt copy this recording (to many peoples disapointment). The music was more DoomMetal. They got a small problem in the band, Bjvrn started to disappear more and more from rehersal, and it didn4t work out.

Woody joined the band again, and they replaced Bjvrn with the drummer Marcus. From this point they started to take the music more seriously. October -97 they recorded their first "serious" demo "Behind the eyes".

The demo was spread around the world along with their name. HOSTILE HIPPIES became HOSTILE.

Martin and Woody left the band by different reasons. Martin became a father and Woody was tired of all shit. They had to find new members, and asked Per W if he could play guitar with them. He joined them and also started to sing, but that didn't work out so he put the guitar aside. They didn't care to find another guitarist.

They recorded their 2nd demo "The shade of Lucifer". It's very different from their first one, more technical and melodic. Per E did all guitars and on stage and they "borrowed" some guys as session guitarists such as Daniel "Mdgan" Magdic, he is also the sound enginer on the "Shade of Lucifer" demo.

Unfortunally they had to fire Per W from the band in the end of -98, his voice didn't fit with the music and the band. Since they didn't have a second guitarplayer at that time, they had to find one really quick. They heard about a guy named Per Nordlander, and they decided to try him. They did a gig togheter, and he fit the band perfectly. He became a fulltime member of Hostile.

They still had some problems to find a new guy on vocals, so Lina had to do all the vocals her self. It worked out great at the beginning, but then she realised that she did4nt had time for the band because she needed more time for school. But she agreed to do the final recording for a recordlabel who has show them some interest, but then it was the end of her time in Hostile. Suddenly they needed two new singers. They searched for new singers and found some aspirants. They tried them a couple of times, and thought they had found the right female singer, but after a while they realised that it was4nt right. Marcus got a job in
Stockholm and left the band. Per N had some personal problems and had some problem to reherse. So right now they need a
drummer, guitarplayer and a singer. They are at the moment looking for some serious people who could fit the band great.
