Shandi McMahon Biography
Shandi McMahon was born in Queens, New York at January 20th, 1952. Her mother was a nurse at the local doctors office and her father was in the construction buisness. When Shandi was seven years old she wanted to be a rock and roll star, but as she grew older she gave up her dream, and decided to follow her mothers footsteps instead. Still, at the age of 14 she bought herself an electric guitar, and two years later she attended the High School of Music and Art in Manhattan. Here she met a young lad called Stanley Harvey Eisen, wich she supposingly was to marry, when Stanley suddenly dumped her without notice. When Shandi turned 19 she realized that she'd never be a musican, and decided to attend the Med.Prof.Psycological Centre in Cleveland, Ohio from '72 till '75, and it was here she met Dr James Fredrick Cornelius Duppi for the first time. The two of them were actually dating for awhile, but somehow this affair cooled of as the two grew older. Shandi hadn't quite given up at the musical front and in '78 she published a demo-single called "Who is that?" written by her cousin, but the song didn't break through and Shandi lost interest. A couple of years later, her cousin sold the song to the same Stanley Harvey Eisen who changed the title to "Is that you?" When he later learned that Shandi'd recorded the song earlier, he felt bad about "stealing" it from her, and dedicated the second song on the same album that "Is that you?" appeared, to her. In additon he asked her to join him and his band on his following world-tour, and Shandi took the offer with gratitude. In '82 she applied to Dr Duppi about joining him at the clinic in Dayton, Ohio, but Duppi replied that with his current funds it was impossible for him to employ anyone at the current stage. In '88, however, Duppi called her and asked her if she was interested in the job as head nurse, and to this Shandi answered positively. She quit her current job as her mother's replacement in the New York clinic and joined Duppi and his team in the fight against the Aluocssirc-syndrom. As the years went by, she felt happy for chosing to work at Duppi's clinic, 'cause now she got to combine her two main interests; music and nursing... by William Shaw, 1997
