Born on August 23rd 1977 and proudly a Malaysian, The Manticore is Ahmad Majdi Ahmad Rashidi.
If you happen to know me then yeah, it's me Mutt - almost everyone I know calls me
by that name. I live in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur and have been staying here since
1983. It's a rather small neighbourhood, really, but it sure is a Helluva place where you
can find lotsa

it's my homepage, so I guess I'll just do or write anything that I like, right? Wrong? Well,

Now, where was I, oohh right, I did my elementary school in S.R.K Damansara Utama, P.J. Okay, okay, I know I'm beginning to cause some of you to yawn now but hey, give the man some credits o.k? Anyway, here's wot I'm trying to say, I still see most of the people I know even from those elementary years around today. Of course we've all grown but gosh, I must admit, some have really 'grown', now a'int that right Haffi? Rafi? eheh!
Next would be my 2ndary school years which was in Bukit Bintang Boys School, P.J. During those years besides being in those camel arena-like classrooms, I spent most of my time strumming the guitar in jamming studios with my friends. We used to have a band called jynx inc. and I was on rhythm but guess who was the lead guitarist?? Ohmigod (and the crowd went wild)...if it isn't Emmett Roslan Ishak of Butterfingers, eheh no offence Emmett. We would always argue about what songs to play during jamming sessions or even on such functions as any battle of the bands competitions. Me and my friend Ikram would of course and will forever prefer those raw-edge rifts of Metallica while Emmett was more in to those ear-soaring feedback noise of Nirvana. Haffi, our drummer preferred Soundgarden but I could have sworn I saw an SWV cassette hidden on the darkest corner of his closet, or was it TLC eheh, just kiddin. The drink stalls in Damansara Utama would be another popular spot for me to head to especially in the evenings. No, I'm not talkin about Uptown, this was way before that, even longer before they had the first cybercafe in Damansara Utama i.e. for those of you who know wot i'm talking about here. If you don't, that's too bad so please read on ok? eheh!
Moving on, having completed my SPM with dashes of dark colours here and there, eheh, I pursued my studies in PPP Shah Alam - a preparatory centre under MARA for students going abroad to further their studies. I took up the A-Level programme and was in batch 14. Heck, the subjects I took were really tough but fortunately and in all modesty (eheh) I managed to receive quite a number of unconditional offers from a few of the top engineering schools in the u.k. But life would always be unfair, having hit by the economic crisis, my sponsor (I would love to mention the name here but I.S.A. isn't something that i have in mind) had decided to change it's policy and was unable to send any from my badge abroad. How nice! There goes my shot on trying to get an aeronautical engineering degree and here I am, still in PPP doing an ITM Mechanical Engineering degree programme. Oh well, at least things couldnt be worse than this now could it? eheh!
Well there you go, a lil inside story of The Manticore. As you proceed on the pages here, you'll be able to meet few of my friends and who knows, maybe you know 1 or 2 of 'em.
