What Each Button, Knob, etc. does on the DJX

White Knobs (located to the left of the LCD screen)

CUTOFF-Controls the maximum frequency to pass-not filter out.  Frequencies higher will be muted.  This is a very cool control that lets you make a lot of effects and control whether you want the sound to be more bassy or high.
RESONANCE-Another important knob.  This controls the strength of cutoff.  Turning it up turns up the volume of the peak frequency, turning it down does the opposite.  Having it turned just a bit before maximum makes the cutoff control sound really cool when you're adjusting it.
GROOVE-This is a control for the pattern.  Groove changes the feel of the pattern.  Adjusting it makes the beats farther apart or closer.
ASSIGN-This knob is assignable to functions such as Pan, DSP Level, etc.  For a list, click here.
BASS BOOST-This controls the strength of the bass, obviously.
DIGITAL SAMPLING: Next to the RECORD button, this controls the input level of samples recorded.

Digital Sampling Button: Press to record a sample.

Ribbon Controller (right under the knobs): A very expressive control.  By rubbing your finger on it, you can control various settings that can be assigned to it.  Click here for a list.
