"Life is a banquet... and most poor suckers are starving to death."
Auntie Mame

When I first came online, I used one of the glitzy services with color and an easy-to-use format. One of the boards I discovered there was on the Time Magazine service. And the man who was in charge of it was ill and soon thereafter passed away. They set up a homepage as a tribute for him and I just had to see it. So I borrowed an internet connection and saw the tribute page for Tom Mandel. Well, I was hooked. From there I went to this page... my very first bookmark.... WOW!! William H. Calvin's Public Bookmark List is the BEST place anyone could EVER start on the internet. I have since gone back and revisited his page... it is still one of the best pages on the net.

I am a Taiji instructor... and, of course, student. I also study Yoga as I find it great to correct whatever damage I have done to myself.

I chat a lot... some say too much!! I chat with people from all over the world, and I like being able to see where they are located. Also, when they are located in such diverse locations, it is easier if one knows what time of the day it is for them. They get quite irritated if you say "Good morning!".... and for them, it is "Godaften!"
And, for those of of you in Texas... here is The Texas List, the most do-nothing page on the net!

I am sure that everyone is quite tired of hearing me talk about my cats, but I am quite fond of them. I guess I just like cats in general.

When I buy Lotto tickets, I never see the numbers and I am always having to figure out if I have won the jackpot, so I find the Texas Lottery homepage to be really helpful. To date... the jackpot eludes me!!

As I watched cameras being installed on the freeway, I had nightmare visions of Big Brother, but then I found out why they were installed. So now, when I get ready to run errands, I check to see what Houston traffic has in store for me. Now, if it is summer, I don't need to consult with anyone or check any link. I just KNOW it is going to be hot.... very hot. But on occasion, it is good to know what Houston weather has in store. While I am driving around, the radio station that I listen to the most is KRBE.

I tend to stand on soapboxes of one sort or another about some cause or another, and I am always boycotting someone.

I like shiny things.... especially gemstones. And the Smithsonian has a really nice collection. Personally, I find that the Houston Museum of Natural Science has a better collection, but they don't have as many pretty pictures online.

I am an artist, and as I get better at this homepage stuff, I will include more of my stuff, but for now I will show you a few of the drawings I have done.

Here is one of my favorite poets.

I have planned to do a page on Alternative Medicine, but only have the page on Flower Essences right now. I think perhaps that I have too many interests, anywhere from Brazilian Music to Astrology.

I will add to this as I go along. But I refuse to say that this is under construction.... because after all, isn't everything!!

Ohhh.... for those of you who have been bugging me.... here I am with Stella Kowalski.

What is beyond the darkness?
Some say chaos and darker night.
I say SUNRISE!
