Dubbed "the kind of guy that wears his

sunglasses at night" (and very rarely parts with them!)

by Rolling Stone , Jason Singh seems

to epitomise cool. Just ask his legions of fans,

particularly those who voted umpteen times

on the Internet to vote him into 3rd place

(and we all KNOW it should have been 1st!) in Cleo's

Bachelor of the Year Competition!

Along with those sunglasses, Jase was known most for both his spikes

(that would be his hair!) and his tattoos. Much to the

dismay of a great many people, Jase is "over" the spikes (As quoted pre-Parramatta gig

April 2000!), and is now sporting a flatter, but no less stylish, hairdo!

The tattoos are still there, though!

But, in all seriousness, Jason's forays into music

came late, comparatively speaking. He taught himself

to play guitar at 17 or 18, and just went flat-out for hours

on end every day. Seeing the benefits now, huh?

Rather than go into his family's Indian food

business, Jason chose to pursue music, and worked the

Melbourne music scene before he began

collaborating with the two Tims (and I'll

bet they just love being referred to that way) and

the rest became history.

As with the other three members of the band,

Jason has brought his own personal experiences in

as inspiration for songwriting.

"Let Me Die Young" - a beautifully orchestrated track

from "Imaginate" - was written by Tim Wild;

based on Jason's thoughts and

feelings regarding his father's sudden passing

away four years ago.

The song has been dedicated to the memory of

Mahendra Singh.
