Well, of all the guys in the band,

Mr Wild proves to be the most elusive!

Precious little information

appears to be available regarding the man

most commonly known to ardent fans as

"Lil Tim". Or Wild. Or even Tim. Any of those will do. ;-)

What is known is that he is the main writer of

"Imaginate" - something he doesn't particularly

like to make note of, given the talents of his

fellow bandsmen.

He comes from a strongly musical background. His great-uncle

is none other than Percy Grainger - a well-known Australian

pianist and composer. His father, Don Wild, is a jazz musician.

Given this, it's almost a fait accompli that

Tim followed the same path.

He taught guitar at Emmaus College in Melbourne in the early 1990's,

and from what I can gather, continued to do so until 1997 -

ie, when the band was starting to gear up!

He's also a brilliant pianist, besides his excellence in both

guitar and vocalising. And the small issue of him

being a superlative songwriter. ;-)

In his own words:

"I've been close to fame before, but nothing as

successful as this."

What can I say - done well, grasshopper. (Sorry - that's a catchphrase

of mine. Gotta use it!)

Tim is also a wonderful guy in person - and I was quite amazed to find,

after the Wool Exchange gig in Geelong at the end of April, having

given Dan yet ANOTHER poem, he also wanted one! So, I gave him one (not

the best work, by a long shot!), and a couple of days later, he was also complimentary

about it. For me, Tim is right up there with (okay, maybe SLIGHTLY above!) Dan when

it comes to songwriting, for me, and to be told by your idol

that your work is even halfway decent - I was stoked, yeah.

So, thanks go out to you also, Tim - for without you, I'd not be

pursuing my music career (which I was before the above occurred -

that's ANOTHER thing I have to write up!), or feeling as confident about my work.
