The Radikals - Bio Page

A RADIKIAL BIOGRAPHY

They're considered one of Connecticut's premiere Punk Rock bands. They exploded onto the local scene in 1995.

Bob Radikal and Danny Radikal, (not related, pure coincidence), had been friends since Jr. High. They both shared the love for music. But it wasn't until after High School that they decided to get together and form a band and make it a reality. Only two things stood in their way, they had no instruments and didn't know how to play.

They quickly got what they needed and started to make noise. They stuck to Punk Rock because it fit their "who cares" attitude, three chord philosophy, and it was just plain fun. And then one more obstacle got in their way....they had no drummer. After two years of bad luck with finding a "normal" drummer they decided to buy one. An Alesis HR-16 drum machine. It more than filled the gap and got them on their way.

They fine tuned their chops on the stage of the now defunked club Studio 158. Playing along side the likes of Bugout Society, The Queers, and Sorry Excuse. As one local Punk zine reviewer once quoted, "They blew me away after the first song. I couldn't believe all that raw intensity was coming from just two guys".

Finally after developing a local following, The Radikals took their D.I.Y. mentallity to their full advantage and started their own label, Wingbat Records and they recorded their forthcoming album, "People Suck".
