During a timeout from Rush before Test for Echo, Neil was busy pursuing other projects. Neil mananged to gather up the best rock and jazz drummers around to produce this release, dedicated to the great Buddy Rich. Almost all of the other musicians played with Buddy at one time or another. It was during this project that Neil discovered the process of "reinventing himself". By the time Rush re-emerged from their break, Neil had switched his grip, drum set-up and approach to the drum kit. This cd is an incredible tribute to an incredible man, the music is dynamic and this cd would be great for any drummer, jazz or Rush enthusiast. Buddy would be proud.
