HAIL!
My real name is not important, just call me for my nick on the
web, Shammash. This name stands for an ancient Sumerian
entity which represents the sun - an Elder God, as written in the
Necronomicon.
My pic on the left was taken on 1998's Samhain (or Hallow's Eve, Oct. 31st). I'm a 29 years old English teacher living in Campinas, Brazil. Besides playing and listening to metal, I'm also into beer, women, occultism, and videogames (not necessarily in this order).
I've been totally devoted to death metal since '89, when I first heard Death's classic debut "Scream Bloody Gore". I started to listen to black metal around '96, when an ex-girlfriend of mine introduced me Samael's "Ceremony Of Opposites", an album which still means a lot to me - the immense wisdom contained in Vorph's lyrics have helped me more than once to get through hard times...
I'm also the vocalist of Kemöth, we've been around since '91 playing death/grind with some harmonies here and there. It sounds a bit like Brutality and old Gorefest.
This theme creating stuff works almost as a therapy for me. I've spent hours to create something that I see as art, paying homage to some of my fave bands - and I always intend to evolve on this issue. All I get with this is recognition of my work and, fortunately, a massive support...
