Third oldest of the Backstreet Boys, Brian Littrell is the middle kid Brian's first exposure to music and performing was anything but on the light side. He spent his early years singing at his local church, other regional churches, revivals, and even weddings. Brian feels that he has a lot to thank God for. It was a day back in 1980 when he was playing around his house with his older brother Harold, when his parents found out their little blue-eyed boy was seriously ill! The boys were roughhousing and Brian fell and cracked his head on the side walk. His parents quickly took him to the Good Samaritan Hospital - and then complications set in. He got a blood infection. The doctors said that Brian had no chance of living and told his parents to go ahead and begin to make the funeral arangements. Then the unexpected happened - Brian recovered almost completely! Then singing entered his life and Brian made a beeline for it. Brian received a phone call, that pulled him out of History class, from Kevin. He found himself on a plane the next day, on his way to Orlando, to meet his cousin and "those guys that harmonize".(Thank God he did!) When he arrived and met A.J., Howie, and Nick for the first time, he felt right at home. And thus was the beginning of the BSBs! |
