READ HERE FIRST... | QUOTES:-
Ok, skip this section if u're not into that stuff, but sometimes, I sit there (in class) and think of these things which are important to me. So I thought I'd like to share them... It'll contain quotes and philosophys of friends, as well as my own.. I know that not everyone is into this kind of thing, but I find that philosophies force you to reflect on personal issues, making you (I know this sounds corny and cliched) a better person... -"It's tradition to control 100% emotion within yourself, and it's considered rude to express emotions" Yizhong -"different strokes for different folks" Simon -"life is one long journey...and you live for that journey...not the destination." Chew -"Success is a private affair, failure is a private funeral" Adrian Chin Touji -"Take things as they are. Look on the bright side and stress less. Just do your best."
PHILOSOPHYS:- | ||||||||||||||||||||
SAYINGS:- -"Don't go looking for love. If it's there, that's great. Enjoy it while it's there. If not, don't worry. There's plenty of time for things ot happen, all you need do is wait" #1997 -"Getting burnt once is enough. But at least you learn how close you should get to the flame" #1998 -"You make mistakes...even big ones that you regret. There's nothing you can do about the past and what has been done. Just try to move on and improve things, and try to stop them from happening again" #1998 -"Face up to reality, find the real problems. You will get no-where finding excuses for why things go wrong." #1998 -"Find your priorities in life and stick to them. Sometimes you need to make difficult sacrifices, but make them. The result is worth it." #1998 -"Dont let others alter what you believe in and what you stand for. It's up to you to make that decission." #1998 -"Accept things as they are. Often it's not up to you to change someone or something from who/what they naturally are" #1998 -"...it's not a matter of liking, it's more a matter of necessity" #1998 -"There are somethings you cannot have total control over. Sometimes it is best to let things run their course without interfering. You never know unless your let things work out for themselves." #1999 -"With things like luv, if it is there, you dont have to turn away. It might be easier to keep an open mind and take things as they come."#1999 -"Take things as they come. There is nothing more you can do but try your best and put in a lot of work. That way, no matter what the result, you can be satisfied and proud of your attempt."#1999 One of the hardest things about growing up, is that peple are constantly changing. Those who are far away, become distant in many ways. With people you were once close to and shared everything with, there is a loss of that feeling os closeness-familiarity, It's a sad thing to realise, that you cannot hold on to, or regain what once was.#2000 Always listen to those closest to you. It may not seem so at the time, but they are honestly looking out for what is best for you. It's not until after event that you can look back, and see how lucky you are to have them there. #2000 Listen to you elders. They always have wise words of advice for you, gathered from their own experiences. Take hedd. It makes things a lot easier to handle. However, one never really learns and understands experiences unless theyhave been there themselves. #2000 One of the downsides to being single, is that your selfish streak becomes more apparent. #2000 Someone once told me, that one of life's important factors, is the ability to maintain one's own integrity. #2000 If you ever feel that you like someone, it always helps to have mutual friends. #2000 As you may have heard, there is the X generation, and the Nintendo generation. But did you know that between them is the 'me' generation? #2000 When is it- that you arrive at the point in your mind that you realise that like someone? #2000 Even if you think you like someone, when you are young & just friends, it may just be better to see other people to get an idea of what it is that you are looking for. That way, when you find it, things will be in a better situation for you to make your decision. #2000 -"Success is a private affair, failure is a private funeral..." *meaning that if you have already achieved something, don't be too proud. Adrian Chin MEANING OF LIFE:- -"to do what you want- to achieve your dreams, love and be loved, experience your own unique experiences. Life's full of surprises, make plans, but be prepared to take what you can." #1998 -"I believe life is what you want it to be, I believe that when you die, that's it...but that's no excuse to not have the most remarkable life you can live...and enjoy every minute of it...You could be a billionaire...and have no meaning to your life...yet if you were to change one person for the better before you die...your life has had a purpose...and is meaningful... I believe that life is tough...it's unpredictable...but that's what makes it special." Chew INTERESTING POINT:- I think that as a teenager- as u get older, you begin to become friends with the opposite sex. By that i mean, most people when they are five could happily play kiss chasey, whereas at the age of about ten, we are introduced to the concept of 'boy' and 'girl' germs, and then by about year eight onwards friendships begin to develope. I recently read in a magazine article something that defined the difference between female and male attitudes that struck me as being quite true. It was applying to adults- Males look at the general picture of things- tending to look on the bright side and making the most of the situations. Females differ in that they worry more, tending to look more negatively, with the intentions of trying to improve things- generally by talking about issues and so forth. What do u think? #1999
