Lloyd Grant
Lloyd Grant did the solos on the first demo, but he would never become a full member of the band, as Lars and Jayms could't work with him. He later started a band called Defcon together with a guitarist called Patrick Scott who also did Metallicas lights the first years.

Mike
Lloyd Grant left and was replaced by a guy called Mike, who stayed for one week before being kicked out.

Jef Warner
Jef Warner was Metallicas 2nd guitarist when James only controled the microphone. At this time they were a five piece band and did some gigs in May 82. Warner wanted to play double-lead with Dave, but he didn't let him, and at the end Lars and James kicked him out because they didn't think he looked cool enought. Jef later joined the band "Black'n blue".

Dave was an old friend of James
