In december 1978 A band called "Silmarillion" was founded by Mick Pointer
& Doug Irvine. The Others orignal members of the band are Unknown.
Steven Rothery joined the band the 19th aug 1979 on guitar & Brian
Jelliman on keys in october . In this period the band decided to eliminate
"Sil" from the name so officially was born the Marillion. They made jams
& live shows but there are no datails about them.
