If you could be on the cover of Smash Hits with anyone, who would it be?
(Pauses and sighs - Nick's very tired at that moment).

I dunno. Bryan Adams. He's really cool and I like his music.

What did you get in the post this morning?

Oh, I didn't pick up anything. Did any of the other Boys get anything? No. Sometimes we get fan mail - it depends where we are because we're always travelling. I try to reply to mine personally when I get it.

Have you ever been in a helicopter?

No,never. I wouldn't like to either - I hate flying. It's a big problem, in a way, because we do so much travelling, but I've kind of got used to it. But I still dread flying. I just try to sleep through the whole flight.

Who is your worst enemy?

I don't have a worst enemy and the group doesn't either. I'm glad I don't have enemies.

Do you believe in things like life after death?

I believe there's something else beside this when you die. I haven't a clue what it's like - I haven't got a mental picture of it or anything. I just believe there's something.

What's the most annoying thing anyone's ever said to you?

I dunno. I'm glad that people don't tend to say anything annoying to us, and if they did I probably wouldn't tell you. Sometimes some of the guys say stuff like, "fix your dance moves" to me - small things like that - and I get really P.O.'d.

When was the last time you were really horrible to someone?

Like I said, I don't believe in being mean to anyone. I'm a really peaceful person. That's something I get from my family.

Have you ever sent anyone a bunch of flowers?


No,never. I've picked flowers for my mom 'cos I couldn't afford to send them. Has anyone sent me flowers? Apart from the fans, no, no-one has.

If you held in your hands the book that held all the answers of the universe, what colour would the cover be?
(After a pause of several centuries)

It'd be black. I think that a book that extravagant or that big would have to represent the universe, which is dark. It'd be the colour of space.

Who in the band annoys you most?


Hmmm. (laughing) I don't really think anyone really annoys me. OK, well let's put it this way, I'd rather not say it, because if I did, when they read the interview they'd be really P.O'd with me.

What's the most exotic thing you can cook?


Fish. I cook it on a pan. I have it just basically by itself - when I go to Florida Keys the fish is really beautiful.

Do you get chatted up a lot?

Chatted up? What's that? No. I don't get chatted up much. We're very busy all the time, so no one even gets the chance to talk to us that much. That's OK - it can be cool to have a little bit of privacy.

Have you ever cheated on a girlfriend?


Hmm ... I 'm not gonna say yes, and I'm not gonna say no.

What's the cheapest present you've ever given anyone?


Usually when I buy a present I make sure that's something that means a lot. I guess it may be cheap, or whatever , but if it means something to the person receiving it, it isn't cheap to them.

What was the last thing that made you angry?


Probably , erm ... I dunno. I can't quite think of what the last thing was. I'm pretty laid back...

Would you be a fan of the group if you weren't in it?


A fan ?? I dunno. I like our music - it's pretty cool, so I might be a fan. I guess I'd buy our records.

What do you wear in bed?


Underwear. A T-shirt and boxers. That's about it.

What's the most drunk you've ever been?


Drunk?? I've never been drunk. I'm under-age, so I'd get myself in trouble if I drank. It's never interested me. I've heard from some people that drinking isn't bad for your health if you keep it in moderation, but personally I don't like it.

How often do you shave?


That's a weird question. I just shave a small amount about once a week. I don't need to shave any more than that really.
