I dream of once upon a time
When life was bright and good
No demons stalked me then
I never thought they would
But through the blackest nights I've strayed
Stumbling thru things not meant for human eyes
I've lived nightmares both fierce and mean
And more than once I've been betrayed
And as I now move on in life
I'm learning to look through the pain, the strife
Demons fade into the night
And once more the days seem bright
