1943 - September 09: Roger Waters born in Great Bookham, Surrey, as George Roger Waters.
1945 - January 27: Nicholas Berekely Mason born in Birmingham.
1945 - July 28: Richard William Wright born in London.
1946 - January 06: Syd Barrett born in Cambridge as Roger Keith Barrett.
1947 - March 04 : David Gilmour born in Cambridge.
1962 - September: Roger Waters moves to London to attend Regent Street Polytechnic.
1964 - August: Syd Barrett moves to London to attend Camberwell Art College. He moves in with Roger and Mike Leonard. They meet Nick Mason and form a band called Leaonards Lodgers but soon renamed themselves after two Georgia bluesmen, Pink Anderson & Floyd Council.
1965 - August: Barrett & schoolmate Dave Gilmour go busking in France where they get arrested.
1966 - January: Pink Floyd make their debut at the Spontaneous Underground at the Marquee Club on Wardour street. "Twenty" people attended!
1966 - September 30: Pink Theme; Snowing; Flapdoodle Dealing and Let's Roll Another One, performed live for the first time at All Saints Hall, Powis Gardens, London.
1966 - October 11: Floyd play at the roundhouse.
1966 - October 14: They ditch all R&B material & play their first full "underground" set at Powis Gardens.
1966 - October 15: The band play International Times 'All Night Rave' party at the Roundhouse.
1966 - October 21: The band plays for 15 Pound Sterling, (approx $30) to their first capacity audience.
1966 - October 31: They sign management contract with Jenner & King to form Blackhill Enterprises.
1966 - November: Recorded studio demos of Interstellar Overdrive; I Get Stoned; Silas Lane and Let's Roll Another One at Thompson Private Recorders in Hempstead.
1966 - December 12: They play at Albert Hall.
1966 - December 18: The band plays the Night Tripper at The Blarney club in Tottenham Court Road. The place is renamed the UFO Club and Floyd become regulars.
1967 - January 11&12: Recording of Interstellar Overdrive; Nicks Boogie; Arnold Layne and Let's Roll Another One at Sound Techniques, Chelsea with Joe Boyd.
1967 - January 20: Granada TV film at UFO for a documentary.
1967 - February 1: Pink Floyd turns pro.
1967 - February 7: Granada documentary is televised.
1967 - February 27: Re-recorded Arnold Lane and a retitled Candy And A Currant Bun at Sound Techniques.
1967 March: Floyd signs with EMI for 5,000 Pound Sterling advance.
1967 April: Work begins on The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn at Abbey Road.
1967 April 6: Syd plays with the band on TV's Top Of The Pop's.
1967 April 22: Arnold Lane / Candy And A Currant Bun charts out at number 20.
1967 April 29: Pink floyd paly to a crowd of 10,000 people at a 14 hour Technicolour Dream event at Alexandria Palace. They played till dawn.
1967 - May 12: Games For May at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. Syd writes the event's song which later becomes. See Emil Play.
1967 - May 23: SEP is recorded at Sound Techniques.
1967 - June 16: SEP is released and climbs to number 6 on the charts.
1967 - July 6: Band promotes SEP on Top of the Pops, Syd wears a bunch of dirty rags.
1967 - August 5: PATGOD is released.
1967 - August 7: Denmark tour.
1967 - August 21: Tour of Germany cut short cause Syd goes AWOL.
1967 - October 24: First USA tour begins!
1967 - October 26: Three nights at the Filmore West in San Fransico.
1967 - November 2: Recording session at Abbey Road for next single, Paintbox.
1967 - December: Floyd tours with Hendrix. Davy O'List of the Nice stands in for Syd when he can't play or pulls a no show.
1967 - December 22: Christmas on Earth Revisited. Syd stands and stares at the audience for the performance. The beginning of the end for Syd.
1968 - January: Dave fills in for Syd when he can't paly at a show in Brighton.
1968 - March 2: Band meets and Syd is asked to stop touring and contribute as a songwriter.
1968 - April 5: Syd's departure from the band is officially announced.
1968 - June 29: ASOS released and band plays a free concert in Hyde PArk.
1968- July 4: Floyd arrive in USA to promote ASOS.
1968 - July 27: ASOS is released in the USA.
1969 - March: Sessions for the More soundtrack begins.
1969 - April 14: "More Furious Madness From The Massed Gadgets Of Auximenes (The Man and The Journey)" performed at the Royal Festival Hall.
1969 - June: Band play Mothers Club Birmingham & Manchester College , recorded for Ummagumma.
1969 - July: More released.
1969 - July 10: Moonhead by Pink Floyd is used for Apollo 11 landings on BBC TV.
1969 - December 2: Recorded soundtrack for Zabriskie Point in Italy. Syd's first solo "Octopus" is released.
1970 - January: Syd Barrets first solo released; The Madcap Laughs.
1970 - January 18: Amazing Pudding played live.
1970 - March: Work for AHM begins & Zabriskie Point is released.
1970 - June 27: AHM performed at the Bath Festival.
1970 - September 12: World tour begins.
1970 - November: Syd's Barrett is released.
1971 - January 4: Floyd begins work on Meddle.
1971 - April 22: Echoes (or Return Of The Son Of Nothing) as it was called then is played live .
1971 - July 31: Their first Far East tour begins.
1971 - November: Meddle is released.
1972 - Eclipse is performed live at the Rainbow.
1972 - February 23: Studio work begins for OBC begins.
1972 - March 3: Japan tour begins.
1972 - May 23-31: Live at Pompeii recording and filming.
1972 - June 3: OBC is released.
1972 - Recordings for Eclipse begins which of course becomes DSOTM.
1972 - September: The film Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii is released and they begin their Eclipse tour of the USA.
1973 - March 13: DSOTM is released.
1973 - March 19: DSOTM played at Earl's Court.
1973 - March 28: DSOTM hits No. 1.
1973 - USA Tour.
1973 - December: ANP is released.
1974 - A Quiet year: Raving And Drooling performed on French tour.
1975 - January 6: WYWH recording begins.
1975 - June 5: Dave marries Ginger.
1975 - June 6: Yet another USA tour.
1975 - September: WYWH is released.
1976 - April 1: Thieves break into Dave's home and steal a fortune in guitars.
1976 - May: They establish "Britannia Row" recording studio.
1976 - December: The inflatable pig flies across and lands in Kent field.
1977 - January 19: Animals is premiered to the press in front of what becomes the album cover for Animals - The Battersea Power Station.
1977 - January 23: Animals is released and the world tour begins.
1978 - Febraury 14: Rick completes work for his first solo album.
1978 - May 25: Dave's first solo effort is released.
1979 - March: Dave plays solo shows.
1979 - November 16: Another Brick In The Wall Pt. II is released. Goes straight to No.1.
1979 - November 30: The Wall is released.
1980 - February 7:The Wall premieres at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
1980 - March 22: DSOTM tops the Billboard to 100.
1981 - May:Nick Mason releases solo album.
1981 - June 13: They play TW at Earl's Court for inclusion in the film. This was the last occasion that Roger played with Floyd.
1981 - August 4: The band uses a "surragate" band to open for The Wall show at Earl's Court.
1982 - July: Recording sessions for TFC begin.
1982 - July 14: The film, The Wall premieres at The empire, Leicester Square.
1983 - March 21: TFC is released.
1984 - March 5: Dave releases second solo effort, About Face. Pete Townshend is the co-writer.
1984 - April 9: Rick releases ZEE and Roger's first solo single; 5.01 AM is released.
1984 - July 16: Roger tours with Eric Clapton and Dave tours America.
1985 - July 13: Dave [lays "Live Aid" with Bryan Ferry's band.
1985 - August 19: Nick Mason releases "Profiles" with Rick Fenn.
1986 - November 11: They issue a statement that "Pink FLoyd will continue and they are working on a new album.
1987 - April 6: Rogers lawyers issue a statement contesting the use of "Pink Floyd" and certain songs by the remaining members.
1987 - May 28: Beyond The Wildwood, released as a tribute to Syd.
1987 - June 15: Roger releases Radio Chaos.
1987 - August 14: Radio Chaos tours.
1987 - September 7: AMLOR is released.
1987 - September 9: Their first tour in a decade lasts 22 months.
1987 - Decenber 23: Dave & Roger sign legal documents which ends their feud a gives Roger royalties for certain "trademarks".
1988 - June 16: The Floyd play West Berlin next to the wall. Some 2000 East Berliners, "listened" form the other side.
1988 - August: The video DSOT filmed on ease US leg of tour. ecording begins for the album by the same name.
1988 October 17: Syd's Opel is released.
1988 - November 21: DSOT is released.
1988 - November 26: DSOT accompanies Russian cosmonauts into space aboard Soyuz 7.
1989 - June 3: They play in Moscow.
1989 - July 15: Floyd plays venice to 200,000 fans. They use a canal barge for a stage.
1989 - October 11: The plays as "Leave Those Kids Alone" for a benefit for The National Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Children.
1990 - June 30: Knebworth Festival
1990 - July 21: The Wall performed by Roger at the Potsdamerplatz in Berlin.
1990 - August 5: The Knebworth Album is released; Floyd songs were; Comfortably Numb; Shine On you Crazy Diamond and Run Like Hell.
1990 - September 17: The album, The Wall - Live In Berlin is released.
1991 - The band takes a holiday. Dave flies planes, Rick sails yachts, Nick races cars.
1992 - June 22: Floyd returns to the studio to work on a new album.
1992 - November 9: The Shine On box set is released.
1993 - March 24: The twentieth anniversary DSOTM is released, remastered.
1993 - December 1: Press release for Pink Floyd 1994 tour.
1994 - February: Rehearsals for the tour in an aircraft hanger near Palm Springs CA.
1994 - March 21: Floyd fly a huge painted airship over the Battersea Power Station.
1994 - March 30: TDB is released.
1994 - May 16: Take It Back is released,with two songs - Take It Back and Astronomy Domine.
1994 - July 22: European tour begins in Lisbon. A limited edition Volkswagon - The Pink Floyd Cabriolet is produced. The car features Floyd graphics.
1994 - July 25: EMI re-release remastered ASOS; DSOTM; WYWH & Animals.
1994 - October 12: Floyd plays the first of 14 nights at Earl's Court.
1994 - December: Press release; the DB tour spanned 68 cities, made 150 million UK pound sterling and played to approx. 5.5 million persons. Officially now the biggest grossing act in rock history!
1995 - More holidays - flying, sailing & racing.
1995 - August: Pulse, the double album of the TDB tour is released.
1995 - December: The band is inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame!
