Ringo was born on July 7, 1940. This made him the oldest of the four other Bealtes. Ringo Starr was very sick as a child. He had many different sicknesses making him miss a lot of school. Ringo was the poorest of all the Beatles. His was the drummer for the Beatles. Before this he was in a few other bands. The Beatles had another drummer before Ringo. His name was Pete Best. He was a friend of George's. Before Pete, Paul was the Beatles, then known as the Quarrymen's, drummer. Ringo, being the oldest was obviously more grown up. He already had his name changed from Richard Starkey to Ringo Starr. he had a beard when they met him also. The first song that he sang was, "Boys". This was the fifth track on the album, "Please Please Me". The first song that he wrote was, "If You've Got Trouble." This was a pretty good song for a beginning writer. The others decided to not ever put it on an album. The next significant song that Ringo wrote was, "Don't Pass Me By". Some may say this song was corny, buy I wouldn't. Ringo says that his best drumming was on the song, "Rain". He said he was basically an average drummer, except on the song, "Rain". All in all Ringo was another key element in the fab four.
